Updated over 3 months ago

Q: Is it possible to get an alert or warning for duplicate VOB requests? A: Yes. You can configure duplicate prevention rules to alert your team if a VOB request is received for a patient who has already had a VOB run.

Q: How do I set up these duplicate prevention rules? A: This is configured in the Module layout settings. You can select up to three specific fields that the system will check against to identify duplicates.

Q: Which fields recommended for the best duplicate detection? A: It is best to use fields containing constant patient data to ensure accuracy. Recommended fields include:

  • Patient Name

  • Date of Birth (DOB)

  • A third unique identifier (such as Member ID or SSN)

Pro Tips / Extra Help: Ensure the fields selected for duplicate rules are mandatory on your intake forms to guarantee the rules can run effectively.
