Before You Begin
Ensure you have the necessary permissions to run workflows manually in your CRM system. Note that this process may take several minutes depending on the workflow complexity and data volume.
Steps
Start the manual workflow execution
Navigate to your workflow and click to run it manually as you normally would.
Keep the browser page open
Once you initiate the workflow, do not close the browser tab or navigate away from the current page.
Avoid making changes during execution
Do not modify any settings, refresh the page, or interact with other parts of the system while the workflow is running.
Wait for completion
Allow the workflow to finish completely before taking any other actions. You'll typically see a completion message or status update when it's done.
Expected Result
The workflow will execute successfully without generating a 504 Gateway Error. You should receive confirmation that the workflow has completed its tasks, such as updating the specified fields on your records.
Important Notes
⚠️ Error Scope: If you do receive a 504 error, it only affects the user running the workflow. Other users can continue accessing and using the system normally.
💡 Tip: The 504 error typically occurs when users navigate away from the page or close their browser while a manual workflow is still processing.
Troubleshooting
If you still encounter 504 errors:
Verify that you maintained the browser session throughout the entire workflow execution
Check if the workflow completed successfully despite the error message
Try running the workflow again, ensuring you follow all the steps above
