Before You Begin
Administrative access to CRM Settings
Patient records must include a Date of Birth (DOB) field
Steps
Navigate to Settings in your CRM and search for "Smart Notification".
Click to create on Add New Message.
Configure the criteria to trigger when the date of birth indicates the patient is under your specified age threshold (e.g., under 18 years old).
Write a clear warning message that will appear at the top of the CRM when the criteria are met.
Click Save to activate the Smart Notification.
Verification / Expected Result
When a patient record is accessed and their date of birth indicates they are under the specified age, a warning flag will automatically appear at the top of the CRM interface, alerting staff to the age restriction.
Alternative Solution
If Smart Notifications don't meet your specific needs, consider creating a workflow that triggers a task when age criteria are met. This can automatically create a referral task or other follow-up actions for patients who don't meet your age requirements.
π‘ Tip: The workflow approach is useful when you need an action taken automatically (e.g., creating a task or sending a notification to a staff member) rather than just displaying a visual warning.
