How to Configure User-Specific Dashboards in Dazos CRM (CRM)

This guide shows you how to create personalized dashboards for each team member in your Dazos CRM. Since the CRM doesn't automatically individualize dashboards, you'll need to manually configure each dashboard to display only that user's data.

Before You Begin

  • You must have administrative access to User Management and Dashboard settings

  • Each user who needs personalized dashboards must have dashboard editing permissions in their role settings

  • Determine which reports and data each team member should see on their dashboard

Steps

Step 1: Enable Dashboard Permissions for Users

Before creating personalized dashboards, ensure each team member can access and edit dashboards.

  1. Go to Settings > CRM Settings > User Management > Roles

  2. Select the role assigned to the team member

  3. Click Edit Role Options, then Assign Privileges Directly to Role

  4. Make sure Dashboard permissions are checked

  5. Click Save

  6. Have the user log out and back in for the change to take effect

Step 2: Create a Dedicated Dashboard Per Team Member

Create individual dashboards with descriptive names for each user.

  1. Go to the Dashboard section in the CRM

  2. Create a new dashboard and name it after the team member (for example: "Sarah - My Leads")

  3. Add the report graphs relevant to that person: their leads, outreach attempts, call logs, etc.

Step 3: Add the Specific User to Each Report Graph

This is a crucial step that's easy to miss. Adding a user to a dashboard does not automatically add them to every graph on it.

  1. On the dashboard, click Edit on each report graph

  2. In the graph setup, add the team member's name to the user list for that graph

  3. Repeat this for every graph on the dashboard

  4. Click Save after each one

Step 4: Add Filters to Scope Each Graph to That Person's Records Only

Configure filters to ensure each dashboard truly only displays records belonging to that user.

  1. While editing a report graph, look for the filter or criteria options

  2. Set Assigned To equal to the team member's name

  3. Add any additional filters you need such as record type, date range, etc.

  4. Save the graph settings

💡 Pro Tip: Without this filter, the graphs will show data for everyone, so this step is what makes each dashboard truly personalized.

Step 5: Use Login As Feature for Easy Configuration

As an administrator, you can easily configure dashboards for other users without needing their passwords.

  1. Go to Settings > User Management > Users

  2. Find the team member you want to configure dashboards for

  3. Click the Login As option next to their name

  4. You will be logged in as that user and can configure their dashboard as they would see it

  5. When finished, log out to return to your admin account

⚠️ Note: If you don't see the Login As option, your current role may not have that permission enabled.

Verification / Expected Result

After completing these steps:

  • Each team member will have their own named dashboard

  • The dashboard will display only their assigned records and data

  • Reports and graphs will be filtered to show information specific to that user

  • Users can access their personalized dashboard from the Dashboard section

Important Limitations

⚠️ Privacy Consideration: The CRM does not currently have a native feature to share a dashboard exclusively with one specific user. Anyone with dashboard access can technically view other dashboards if they know where to look. The approach above using role-based access combined with per-graph user filters is the best available solution.

If true privacy between team members is a hard requirement, contact Dazos support to log this as a feature request with the product team.

Troubleshooting / Common Errors

Dashboard shows everyone's data: Verify that you've added the "Assigned To" filter to each individual graph and that the team member's name is correctly specified in the user list for each graph.

User cannot see dashboard: Confirm that their role has dashboard permissions enabled and that they've logged out and back in after the permission change.

Cannot use Login As feature: Check that your admin role has the necessary permissions to log in as other users, or ask the user to help configure their dashboard directly.
