Dazos Lightning Step EMR Integration: Current Mapping Behavior for Payor & Demographic Information

Overview

Currently, Lightning Step does not automatically update many fields in the Demographic and Payor Information sections, even when the data exists in the system. In several cases, manual intervention or field toggling is required to trigger proper data population. This article details these behaviors and provides workarounds where available.

1. Payor Information – Primary Subscriber Mapping

Expected Behavior

Upon selecting the Client Relationship to Primary Subscriber, relevant fields from the subscriber’s profile should populate automatically.

Observed Behavior

  • Initially, no data is displayed until a relationship (e.g., Self, Spouse) is selected.

  • After selection, the following fields populate:

    • Name

    • Date of Birth (DOB)

    • Gender

  • However, the following fields do not populate initially:

    • Home Number

    • Mobile Number

    • Address

    • City

    • State

    • Zip Code

    • Country

Workaround

Toggle the Client Relationship to Primary Subscriber to a different value (e.g., Spouse), then toggle it back to the correct one (e.g., Self). This action triggers the remaining data fields to populate properly.

Notable Detail

Gender does not appear in the client's Demographics section, but it does appear under the Primary Subscriber section once the relationship is set.

2. Payor Information – Demographic Information Mapping

Observed Behavior

No demographic information populates in the Payor Information section until the client’s Demographics are manually updated.

3. Client Demographic Information – Birth Gender Visibility

Observed Behavior

The Birth Gender field is not surfaced directly in the Demographics view. However, when accessing the Demographic or Personal Information Form (PIF) using the "eye" icon, the data is visible—confirming it exists in the system but is not mapped or displayed in the standard UI.
