How to Set Up Dashboard Date Range Rules in (CRM)

Learn how to set reports to either use their individual date settings or follow a global dashboard override, ensuring your data displays exactly how you want it.

Updated yesterday

Before You Begin

  • Ensure you have access rights to create or modify reports and dashboards in Dazos CRM.

  • Make sure you have at least one report with a custom date range rule configured.

Steps

  1. Open the Dashboard. Open the dashboard where your reports are located.

  2. Verify Report Date Rule: Check a report that has specific rules (such as a set date range or condition).

  3. Review Report Conditions - In the report settings, find the conditions section. - Confirm the time frame or state (e.g., "Admission State is equal to Current Week").

  4. View Report Output. Observe that the report currently reflects only results matching those internal date range rules. If no data exists for that period, the report will show "no data available."

  5. Set a Global Dashboard Date Range (Override)

    - Access the settings by clicking the settings wheel.

    - Check "Set this as default date range" to make the dashboard's range override the report's internal range.

    - Choose your preferred date range (e.g., "This Month") and save changes.

  6. Apply Changes and View Reports - Review the dashboard. Reports will now display data according to the global date filter set. - If "all time" is selected, all matching data should appear.

  7. Revert to Report-based Date Range. To return reports to follow their individual settings: Click the settings wheel. - Uncheck "Set this as default date".

    - Reports will now revert to using their internal date range conditions.

Verification / Expected Result

  • When dashboard override is active, all reports respect the dashboard's date range.

  • When override is not set, each report shows data according to its individually defined conditions.

  • Switching between these options should immediately update the report data on the dashboard.

Troubleshooting / Common Errors

  • No Data Shown: Double-check if the date range overlaps with available data.

  • Unexpected Results: Verify if dashboard override is active or report-based rules are in use.

⚠️ Note: Adjusting date ranges at the dashboard level affects all contained reports unless overridden by individual settings.
