Custom Domain Email Setup – Domain Verification Process (CRM)

Learn how to set up your own domain as the sender for outgoing emails instead of the default [email protected] address.

Updated today

Overview

By default, all outgoing emails from the Dazos platform are sent from [email protected]. If you would like emails to be sent from your own domain (e.g., [email protected]), you can request a custom domain email setup. This process requires a few DNS record changes on your end, which our team will guide you through.

How It Works

To allow Dazos to send emails on behalf of your domain while maintaining full deliverability and security, we configure the following DNS records on your domain:

  • TXT Record – Verifies domain ownership and authorizes Dazos to send on your behalf.

  • CNAME 1 (DKIM) – The first DKIM signature record used to authenticate outgoing emails.

  • CNAME 2 (DKIM) – The second DKIM signature record for full DKIM authentication.

Step-by-Step Process

Step 1 – Submit a Support Ticket

Reach out to the Dazos support team and submit a ticket requesting a custom sender domain setup. Please include the domain you would like to send emails from (e.g., yourpractice.com).

Step 2 – Receive Your DNS Record Values

Once your ticket is received, our team will generate the required DNS record values specific to your domain and provide you with:

  • A TXT record value for domain verification

  • CNAME 1 and CNAME 2 values for DKIM authentication

Step 3 – Add the Records to Your DNS

Log in to your domain registrar or DNS provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap) and add the three records provided by Dazos. If you need assistance with this step, your IT team or domain registrar's support can help.

Note: DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours to propagate fully.

Step 4 – Confirm the Records Are Live

Once you have added all three records, reply to your support ticket to let us know the changes have been made. Please do not skip this step — our team will not begin verification until you confirm.

Step 5 – Dazos Verifies Your DNS

Our team will test your DNS configuration to confirm all records are resolving correctly. Once everything checks out, we will finalize the setup on our end.

Step 6 – Confirmation & Go-Live

You will receive a confirmation via your support ticket once your custom sender domain is fully active. From that point forward, outgoing emails from the Dazos platform will be sent from your domain.
