Overview
If you're using the Kipu EMR integration with Dazos, you can map payers/payors (Insurance Companies) between the two systems to ensure proper data synchronization and ensure that your Kipu patient charts are created with your Kipu payers, allowing a smooth flow of patients and claims through to Kipu RCM and billing exports. This eliminates the need for complex workflows and provides a streamlined payer mapping interface.
When to Use This Feature
Use payer mapping when:
Your Kipu EMR instance uses a different insurance list/payer codes than Dazos
You need payers to map correctly between systems for accurate billing and record-keeping
You want to avoid creating multiple workflows for payer field mapping
How to Set Up Payer Mapping
Step 1: Access Kipu EMR Integration Settings
Navigate to your Kipu EMR integration settings screen in Dazos.
Step 2: Fetch Payers from Kipu
At the top of the integration settings screen, click the "Fetch Payors" button. This will pull all available payers from your Kipu EMR system into Dazos for mapping.
Step 3: Map Payers
In the new payer mapping section at the bottom of the integration settings screen, you can now map each Kipu payer to the corresponding Dazos payer. This creates a direct relationship between payer codes in both systems.
Important Notes
โ ๏ธ Note: You must fetch payers from Kipu first before you can create mappings. The mapping interface will only show payers that have been successfully fetched from your Kipu instance.
โ Best Practice: This payer mapping feature replaces the need for time interval workflows or record update workflows that were previously used as workarounds for payer code differences.
