Understanding Deleted Field Recovery Limitations (CRM)

When a field is deleted from a CRM module, it cannot be restored through normal CRM functions. The field and all its associated data are permanently lost once the deletion is confirmed.

When This Matters

This limitation becomes critical when:

  • Fields are accidentally deleted during module customization

  • Important historical data is lost due to field deletion

  • Teams need to recover specific field configurations or data

Available Recovery Options

If a field has been mistakenly deleted, you have two main options:

Option 1: Developer Assistance for Bulk Data Recovery

Contact the development team for potential bulk data recovery.
This option may help restore the original field and its data, but success depends on system backups and timing.

Note: This requires technical intervention and is not guaranteed to be successful.

Option 2: Create a New Custom Field

Create a new custom field with the same configuration as the deleted field, then remap it in your EMR settings if applicable.

Important: This option will not recover the original data. You'll need to manually re-enter or import historical data if needed.

Prevention Tips

  • Always confirm field deletions before proceeding

  • Consider hiding fields instead of deleting them if you're unsure

  • Export important data before making significant module changes

  • Test field modifications in a staging environment when possible

Need Help?

If you've accidentally deleted a critical field:

  1. Contact support immediately to explore recovery options

  2. Provide details about when the field was deleted and what data it contained

  3. Be prepared that full recovery may not be possible

โš ๏ธ Warning: The sooner you contact support after accidental deletion, the better the chances of potential data recovery.
