Troubleshooting Last Call Field Not Updating in Accounts and Opportunities (CRM)

This guide helps you troubleshoot when the Last Call field stops updating at the Account and Opportunity levels after calls are logged in your CRM.

Symptom / Error

The Last Call Time field is not updating automatically after logging calls, even though calls are being recorded successfully. The field appears empty or shows outdated timestamps.

The Last Call Time field updates are triggered by automation that synchronizes with call logs. When the field stops updating, the trigger may need to be re-synchronized.

Follow these steps to resolve the Last Call field synchronization issue:

  1. Review the automation logic: Check that the workflow or automation responsible for updating the Last Call Time field is active and properly configured.

  2. Test the synchronization: Log a test call and monitor whether the Last Call Time field updates within a reasonable timeframe.

  3. Re-synchronize the trigger: If the field is not updating, the automation trigger needs to be re-synchronized with your call logs. This process reconnects the automation to properly capture call timestamps.

  4. Verify the fix: After re-synchronization, log another test call and confirm that the Last Call Time field captures the correct timestamp at both Account and Opportunity levels.
