Troubleshooting Finpay Integration - Super Admin Access Required (CRM)

This guide addresses issues with Finpay integration failures that occur when user permissions are changed from Super Admin to non-admin roles.

Symptom/Error

The Finpay integration stops working or breaks after changing a user's permissions from Super Admin to a non-admin role (such as standard Admin or other roles).

Common symptoms include:

  • Payment processing failures

  • Integration connection errors

  • Inability to sync payment data

Cause

The Finpay integration requires Super Admin access for the specific user account that originally set up the integration. When this user's permissions are downgraded to non-admin levels, the integration loses the necessary privileges to function properly.

Solution

To restore the Finpay integration, follow these steps:

  1. Identify the Finpay Integration User: Determine which user account was used to set up the Finpay integration originally.

  2. Navigate to User Management: Go to Settings → User Management → Users in your Dazos CRM.

  3. Locate the User: Find the user account that set up the Finpay integration in your user list.

  4. Edit User Permissions: Click the Edit button (pencil icon) next to the user's name.

  5. Restore Super Admin Access: Change the user's role back to Super Admin with the necessary permissions to make internal changes.

  6. Save Changes: Click Save to apply the updated permissions.

  7. Test the Integration: Verify that the Finpay integration is working properly by testing a payment transaction or checking the integration status.

Verification

After restoring Super Admin access, the Finpay integration should resume normal operation. You can verify this by:

  • Checking the integration status in your payment settings

  • Processing a test transaction

  • Confirming that payment data syncs properly

Prevention

⚠️ Important: When managing user permissions, avoid changing the role of users who have set up critical integrations like Finpay. If you need to restrict access for security reasons, consider creating a dedicated service account with Super Admin privileges specifically for integration purposes.

When to Contact Support

Contact Dazos support if:

  • The integration still doesn't work after restoring Super Admin access

  • You're unsure which user account was used to set up the Finpay integration

  • You need assistance setting up a dedicated service account for integrations
