Overview
When integrating Zoom with Dazos CRM, the type of integration you need depends on your specific goals. For call logging functionality, you need a VOIP-style integration, not OAuth SSO.
When to Use / Why It Matters
Understanding the difference between these integration types is crucial for setting proper expectations:
OAuth SSO: Primarily for single sign-on authentication and developer access
VOIP Integration: Required for automatic call activity logging in your CRM
Integration Types Explained
OAuth SSO Integration
OAuth SSO is mainly used for:
Single sign-on authentication between applications
Developer access to third-party APIs
Basic application connectivity
What it does NOT do: Push call activity data into your CRM for logging purposes.
VOIP Integration for Call Logging
VOIP-style integrations automatically log call activities by:
Capturing inbound and outbound call data
Creating call records in the Call Logs module
Adding call activities to the lead/account activity ribbon
Enabling comprehensive communication tracking
Zoom Call Logging Requirements
For Zoom call logging to work with Dazos CRM, Zoom would need to:
Support sending call events to Dazos via VOIP integration.
Provide functionality similar to other supported systems, such as RingCentral.
Send call data in a format compatible with Dazos VOIP integration standards
β οΈ Important: If Zoom doesn't offer VOIP-style integration capabilities, automatic call logging won't be possible through the CRM.
Current VOIP Integration Capabilities
Dazos CRM currently supports VoIP integrations with several providers that offer call logging. Based on our integration table, Zoom does support some VOIP features, including:
Inbound call lead creation
Inbound/outbound call logs
Inbound/outbound call calendar activities
Video call logging
User mapping/record assignment
π‘ Tip: Check with your Zoom administrator or Dazos support to determine if your Zoom setup supports the specific VOIP integration requirements for call logging.
