Understanding iCampaign Mass Text Response Management - Current Limitations and Workarounds (iCampaign)

Overview iCampaign currently does not provide a consolidated view for managing responses from mass text campaigns. This article explains the current limitations and available workarounds for tracking and responding to campaign replies.

Current Response Management Process

When you send a mass text campaign in iCampaign, client responses are tracked individually:

  • Each response creates a separate line item in campaign reporting

  • Responses must be reviewed one by one

  • No consolidated list view is available to see all responses at once

  • No bulk actions are available for adding notes or status updates

Why This Matters

For organizations managing alumni engagement or client outreach, mass text campaigns can generate hundreds of responses. Without a consolidated view:

  • Individual review of 600+ responses is not practical for most teams

  • No efficient way to ensure all responses are acknowledged

  • Difficult to track follow-up status across multiple responses

  • Limited ability to add bulk notes or categorize responses

Current Workarounds

Response Export Options

  1. Navigate to your completed mass text campaign

  2. Access the campaign reporting section

  3. Export response data as a spreadsheet

  4. Use the exported data to track responses in external tools

External Tracking Solutions

  • Export response data to Excel or Google Sheets for bulk management

  • Use your CRM to log follow-up activities manually

  • Create a tracking spreadsheet with response status columns

Product Enhancement Request

This functionality has been identified as a product enhancement. The ideal solution would include:

  • A single consolidated report showing all campaign responses

  • List view with ability to add tracking notes

  • Bulk status updates for multiple responses

  • Filtering options to prioritize responses requiring follow-up

⚠️ Note: Product roadmap features are prioritized based on customer demand and development resources. There is no guaranteed timeline for this enhancement.

Tips & Notes

💡 Tip: When sending mass campaigns, consider segmenting your audience into smaller groups to make response management more manageable in the current system.

Best Practice: Document your response tracking process now so you can quickly adapt when consolidated response management becomes available.
