Layout Editor Counter Tab Fixes: Field Picker and UI Corrections (CRM)

Two Layout Editor Counter tab issues are fixed: Range and Percent Slider fields now appear in the calculation picker, and dropdown selectors no longer break when new rows are added. A list-view banner position is also corrected to avoid nav overlap.

Before You Start

You will need:

CRM administrator access to Settings → Layout Editor.

Access requirements: Layout Editor is restricted to administrators. Contact your CRM administrator if you do not have access.

What Was Fixed

Fix 1 — Range Slider and Percent Slider fields now appear in counter calculations

Previously, fields of type Range Slider and Percent Slider did not appear in the field picker when configuring a counter calculation in the Layout Editor, even though these fields store numeric values and can be meaningfully aggregated (summed, averaged, etc.). They now appear alongside other numeric fields such as currency and integer fields.

Fix 2 — Counter row dropdowns render correctly after adding new rows

When adding multiple counter rows in the Layout Editor, the dropdown selectors (field name and calculation type) were re-initializing incorrectly, causing them to appear duplicated or with broken widths. This is now corrected — each dropdown initializes once and displays with the correct width.

Fix 3 — "Select All" banner no longer overlaps the navigation bar

In list views across all modules, the blue "Select All" confirmation banner that appears after selecting records on the current page was positioned too high, overlapping the fixed navigation bar. The banner now appears below the navigation bar and is fully readable.

3. Using the Counter Tab in Layout Editor

1. Go to Settings → Layout Editor.

2. Select the module you want to configure.

3. Click the Counter tab (or the equivalent calculation/counter section for that module).

4. Click Add Row to add a new counter calculation.

5. In the Field dropdown, select the field to aggregate — you will now see Range Slider and Percent Slider fields listed if the module has them.

6. In the Calculation dropdown, select the aggregation type (Sum, Average, Count, etc.). 7. Add additional rows as needed — each row's dropdowns will render correctly at the right width. 8. Click Save Layout when done.

Tip: If you previously created counter configurations that used Range Slider or Percent Slider fields but they were silently excluded from results, re-save the layout now. The fields will be included going forward.

4. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will existing counter configurations be affected? If an existing counter configuration tried to use a Range Slider or Percent Slider field, those fields were previously excluded from the calculation. After this fix, re-saving the layout will include them correctly.

Q: The dropdown in the counter row still looks broken. What should I do? Try a hard refresh of the Layout Editor page (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R). If the issue persists, contact Dazos support with the module name and reference CRM-2992.

Q: I don't see Range Slider or Percent Slider fields listed even after this fix. Why? Those field types must exist on the module being configured. If the module does not have any Range Slider or Percent Slider fields defined, they will not appear in the picker — this is expected behavior.

Q: Is the "Select All" banner fix visible to all users or only administrators? The banner position fix applies to all users across all modules when selecting records in a list view. It is not limited to administrators.

Q: Does this change affect any existing layouts or saved counters? No. Existing saved layouts are not modified. The fix only changes which field types are available when creating or editing a counter row, and corrects the visual rendering of the dropdowns.
