Google Ads conversion rules can now send a value that is read directly from a field on the record — such as an expected reimbursement or admission amount — instead of a single fixed dollar amount. This lets each conversion reflect that record's real value, so platforms like Google Ads receive accurate return‑on‑ad‑spend data.

1. Before You Start
You will need:
A connected and Active Google Ads account in your CRM, with a Customer selected.
At least one numeric field on the module you want to use (for example, a currency or whole‑number field on Intake Opportunities or Accounts).
Permission to open Settings → CRM Settings.
Access requirements: This is configured by an administrator on the Google Ads Settings page. If you don't see Google Ads Settings, ask your administrator or contact Dazos support to enable it for your instance.
2. Open Google Ads Settings
1. From the CRM, go to Settings → CRM Settings → Google Ads Settings.
2. Select your Google Ads Account and Customer ID at the top of the page.
3. Scroll to the Send Conversion When section, where you create and edit conversion rules.
3. Choose How the Conversion Value Is Set
In the Send Conversion When area, set up your rule as usual — choose the Module, the Field, and the Condition that determines when the conversion fires.
Next to the Amount box you'll see a new Dynamic field checkbox:
Choice | What it does |
Leave "Dynamic field" unchecked | Type a fixed dollar amount in the Amount box (for example, 100 ). The same amount is sent every time the rule fires. |
Tick "Dynamic field" | The Amount box is replaced by a dropdown so you can pick a field whose value will be sent instead. |
Tip: Only one option shows at a time — ticking the box swaps the amount box for the field dropdown, and unticking it brings the amount box back.
4. Pick the Field for a Dynamic Value
Tick Dynamic field, then choose the field that holds the value you want to send:
The dropdown lists only number‑style fields — whole numbers, decimals, currency, and number sliders.
Percent fields are intentionally not offered (a percentage isn't a dollar value).
If a module has no suitable number field, the dropdown will be empty — use a fixed amount instead, or pick a module that has one.
Finish the rule by choosing a Conversion Action, make sure Enabled is ticked, and click Save Rule.
5. Review Your Saved Rule
Saved rules appear under Saved Conversion Rules on Record Updates. A rule that uses a field shows Conversion Value → Field: (your field) so you can tell at a glance it sends a dynamic value rather than a fixed amount:
To make changes later, click the pencil icon to edit the rule, or the trash icon to delete it. To switch a rule back to a fixed amount, edit it, untick Dynamic field, type the amount, and save.
6. What Gets Sent When a Conversion Fires
When the rule's condition is met on a record, the current value of the chosen field on that record is sent to Google Ads as the conversion value.
If that field is empty, not a number, or zero or less, no conversion is sent for that record. This prevents sending a $0 or invalid value, and the skip is recorded in the system logs.
For best results, choose a field that is reliably filled in with a positive number on the records you expect to convert.
Important: Existing rules that use a fixed amount keep working exactly as before. When you do type a fixed amount, it must now be a number greater than 0 .
7. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Which fields can I choose as a dynamic value? Number‑style fields only: integer, decimal, currency, and number‑slider fields. Percent and percent‑slider fields are excluded on purpose.
Q: What happens if the field is blank or not a number when the conversion fires? The conversion is skipped for that record (nothing is sent), and the skip is logged so it can be reviewed.
Q: How do I switch a rule back to a fixed dollar amount? Edit the rule, untick Dynamic field, enter the amount, and click Save Rule.
Q: Will my existing rules change? No. Rules that use a fixed amount continue to behave exactly as before.
Q: I ticked "Dynamic field" but the dropdown is empty — why? That module has no number‑style fields available. Use a fixed amount, or choose a module that has a suitable number field.
