Troubleshooting Duplicate Leads After CTM Account Migration (CRM)

Symptom / Error After migrating CTM tracking numbers to a new CTM account, duplicate leads are being created in Dazos. Each incoming call generates multiple identical lead records.

Cause

When consolidating tracking numbers into a new CTM realm during migration, the new account may contain cloned copies of previous location webhooks alongside the master webhooks. This causes both the old location-specific webhooks and the new master webhooks to fire simultaneously, creating duplicate lead entries for the same call.

Solution

Follow these steps to identify and remove duplicate webhook entries:

  1. Access your new CTM account: Log into the CTM account where tracking numbers were migrated

  2. Navigate to webhook settings: Go to the webhook configuration section in your CTM account

  3. Identify duplicate webhooks: Look for multiple Dazos webhook entries that may include:

    • Individual location webhooks (e.g., Wayne, Brentwood, Greenwood webhooks)

    • Master/consolidated webhooks for the new account

  4. Remove duplicate webhook entries: Delete the cloned location-specific webhook entries, keeping only the necessary active master webhooks for the consolidated account

  5. Verify remaining webhooks: Confirm that only the required webhooks remain active and properly configured

  6. Test the configuration: Make a test call to verify that only one lead record is created per call

Verification / Expected Result

After removing duplicate webhooks:

  • ✅ Each incoming call creates only one lead record in Dazos

  • ✅ No duplicate lead entries are generated

  • ✅ Lead data flows correctly from the consolidated CTM account

Prevention Tips

💡 Best Practice: When migrating CTM accounts, audit webhook configurations before completing the migration to prevent duplicate webhook scenarios.

⚠️ Important: Always verify webhook settings after consolidating multiple CTM realms to ensure clean data flow.
