Overview
When CTM (Call Tracking Metrics) is integrated with Dazos, it creates Leads — not Intake Opportunities. The field that connects a CTM call to its Lead, and then to a converted Intake Opportunity, is the Call ID field. This article explains how that connection works and what to do when a Call ID is missing.
How CTM Connects to Dazos Records
CTM does not have a native unique identifier that automatically links a call record to a Lead in Dazos. Instead, a custom field in CTM is used to post the Lead URL onto the call record. This URL contains the Lead ID and is what ties the CTM call to the specific Lead created in Dazos.
CTM creates Leads in Dazos on inbound calls — not Intake Opportunities.
A custom field in CTM posts the Lead URL back onto the call record, linking the two together.
The Call ID is the field that persists across the full journey: from the CTM call → Lead → converted Intake Opportunity.
What Is the Call ID Field?
The Call ID field is the unique identifier that stays consistent across the entire record lifecycle in Dazos. It allows you to trace a record from its origin as a CTM call, through its Lead stage, and into a converted Intake Opportunity.
The Call ID field is located on the ribbon inside the Accounts module in Dazos.
It remains the same value whether the record is a Lead or a converted Intake Opportunity.
This is the field to use when building reports that track the full funnel: CTM calls → Leads → Opportunities → Admissions.
When a Lead Is Converted to an Intake Opportunity
When a Lead is converted in Dazos, the information from that Lead — including the Call ID — carries over to the Intake Opportunity. This is what allows you to link a converted Opportunity back to its originating CTM call.
⚠️ Important: What specific fields transfer during conversion depends on how your instance is configured. Field mapping at the time of Lead conversion is set up per instance. If you are unsure which fields carry over in your environment, contact Dazos Support.
Leads With No Call ID
If a Lead in Dazos has a blank Call ID, this means the Call ID was not included in the CTM payload when the Lead was created. Dazos only receives and reflects the data CTM sends — it cannot populate a Call ID that was not delivered.
A missing Call ID must be investigated on the CTM side.
Check the CTM webhook payload for the affected call to determine why the Call ID was not sent.
If you need help reviewing the CTM payload, contact your CTM account administrator or CTM support.
Tracking the Full Funnel (CTM Calls → Leads → Opportunities → Admissions)
To track end-to-end conversion from CTM calls through to admissions, you will need to build a report in Dazos that uses fields mapped across the Lead and Intake Opportunity modules. The Call ID field is the key linking identifier across those stages.
💡 Tip: When building funnel reports, use the Call ID field as the join key between your CTM call data and your Dazos Lead and Opportunity records. Leads without a Call ID will not be linkable back to a specific CTM call.
Tips & Notes
✅ Best Practice: Confirm your CTM integration is configured to include the Call ID in every inbound call payload. Regularly audit Leads for missing Call IDs to identify payload gaps on the CTM side.
⚠️ Warning: Do not assume a Lead without a Call ID originated outside of CTM — it may simply mean the Call ID was not sent in that specific payload. Investigate in CTM before drawing conclusions.
💡 Tip: The Call ID field is found on the ribbon inside the Accounts module. If you cannot locate it in reports, confirm the field is included in your report's field selection for both the Lead and Intake Opportunity modules.
