5. Frequently Asked Questions
1. Before You Start
You will need: a Screen Flow on the module (see the Screen Flows guide, CRM-3850) and administrator access to Settings to change its label or status.
Access requirements: the button is visible to every user who can open the record.
2. Set the Button Label
Navigate to Settings → Module Layouts & Fields → (module) → Screen Flows and open the flow. In Screen Flow Details fill in Button Label and click Save.
Field | Description | Example |
Button Label | Text of the button on the record. Empty = the flow's name. | Send to Admissions |
Active | Only active flows show a button. | on |
The Button column of the Screen Flows tab previews each flow's button; an inactive flow's button is shown struck through.
3. Where the Button Appears
Open any record of the module. The button sits in the header row beside Add Tag, as a small blue pill. Click it to open the flow.
4. Several Flows on One Module
When the header row does not have room for every flow's pill - the module has many related-module counters, the window is narrow, or there are simply many flows - the pills are replaced by one Screen Flows (N) dropdown that lists them all. This is decided per record and per window size, so the header never wraps or pushes the Patient Balance group aside.
Tip: resize the window and watch the pills collapse into the dropdown and back.
5. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I renamed the flow but the button still shows the old text. The button shows the Button Label when one is set. Clear the label to fall back to the flow's name.
Q: The button disappeared. Check that the flow is Active. Deleting or deactivating a flow removes its button immediately.
Q: Can I decide who sees the button? Not per role at the moment: everyone who can open the record sees the buttons of that module's active flows. Ask Dazos support if you need role-based buttons.
Q: Why do some records show pills and others a dropdown? Room on the header row differs per module and window width; the CRM picks whichever fits.
