Overview
Custom blocks (sections) can be deleted from any module in the Layout Editor with the Delete Custom Block button. The block must be empty first: if it still contains fields, the CRM shows "Fields exists for the block" and the block is not deleted.
Before You Begin
You need administrator access to Module Layouts & Fields.
Only custom blocks can be deleted. Standard blocks don't have the Delete Custom Block button.
Deleting fields permanently removes the data stored in them. If you might need that data later, consider hiding instead of deleting (see Important Notes).
Step 1: Open the Layout Editor
In the left menu, click Settings → CRM Settings.
In the settings menu on the right, open Module Management → Module Layouts & Fields.
In Select Module, choose the module (for example, Pre Assessment, Accounts or Intake Opportunities).
Step 2: Empty the Block
Scroll to the custom block you want to remove.
Remove every field in it, including hidden ones (check View Hidden Fields on the block). Move fields you want to keep to another block before deleting the rest.
Step 3: Delete the Block
On the block header, click Delete Custom Block.
A confirmation message appears. Its text talks about deleting a field — this is the standard message and it also applies to blocks. Click Continue.
Result
The CRM shows "Custom Block Deleted" and the block disappears from the layout. The change applies right away — there is no separate Save step.
Troubleshooting
"Fields exists for the block": the block still has at least one field. Open View Hidden Fields on that block, remove any remaining fields, and try again.
No Delete Custom Block button: the block is a standard block and can't be deleted. You can hide it instead.
Important Notes
Deleting a field can't be undone. The values stored in it are removed permanently.
If you only want the block out of sight, set HIDE BLOCK to Yes on the block header instead of deleting it. To keep a field's data but stop using it, mark the field Inactive instead of deleting it.
