Overview
Accurately mapping picklist values in Dazos CRM is essential for maintaining data consistency, streamlining workflows, and ensuring precise categorization. Customizing picklists helps users select from predefined options, speeding up data entry while improving reporting accuracy and overall organization.
Before You Begin
• Access to Dazos CRM with appropriate admin permissions
• Understanding of the module where the picklist values are needed (e.g., Intake Opportunities, Accounts, Leads)
• Confirmation of which roles should have access to the new value
Steps
Navigate to Picklist Field Values:
Start by clicking on "Settings" in your Dazos CRM.
Then, select "CRM Settings."
Next, click on "Module Management."
Finally, choose "Picklist Field Values.
On this central page, you'll see a list of different modules within your Dazos CRM. It's very important to identify the specific module where you want to add or modify picklist values. We want to ensure these values appear exactly where the customer needs them, and not in unintended places.
You'll have the opportunity to select from various modules such as: Intake Opportunities, Accounts, Referral Sources, Leads, Calendar, VOBs (Verification of Benefits), Pre-Assessments, Transactions, Surveys, and more. Choose the module that applies to your customer's request.
Once you've selected your module, you'll see a list of different picklists available within that specific module. The picklists will vary depending on the module you've chosen. For example, the picklists for "Intake Opportunities" will be different from those for "Accounts." Select the correct picklist that you need to update.
Add a New Picklist Value: After selecting the correct picklist, head over to the "Add Value" button, typically located on the right side of the page.
Item Value: In the field provided, carefully type the specific item value you wish to add (e.g., "New Referral Type," "Follow-up Status").
Assign Role: Assign the role(s) that will have specific access to see and use this new picklist item. This ensures only relevant users can select it.
Select Color: Choose a color for this picklist item if the instance has specified one. If no specific color is requested, you can simply leave it white.
Click "Save" to add your new picklist value.
By following these steps, you can effectively manage and customize picklist values, helping your customers maintain organized and efficient data within their Dazos CRM instance.
You can also have Values assigned to a role in case you are required to do this by the instance you are helping, just make sure which specific roles have access to certain values.
Verification / Expected Result
• The new picklist value appears in the designated module.
• Only users with the assigned role(s) can view and use the new value.
