How to Save Picklist Values After Adding Them (CRM)

When adding new values to a picklist in Dazos CRM, you must click on the value itself before you can save it. This critical step is often missed and prevents the new picklist value from being saved properly.

Before You Begin

  • Access to Dazos CRM with appropriate admin permissions

  • Understanding of which module and picklist field you need to update

Steps

  1. Navigate to Picklist Settings: Go to Settings β†’ CRM Settings β†’ Module Management β†’ Picklist Field Values.

  2. Select Your Module and Picklist: Choose the correct module and then select the specific picklist you want to update.

  3. Add Your New Value: Click the "Add Value"

  4. Click on the Word/Value Itself: This is the crucial step that's often missed. After adding your new picklist value, you must click directly on the word or text of the value you just added.

  5. Save the Picklist: Once you've clicked on the value, you can now successfully save the picklist.

Verification / Expected Result

  • The new picklist value appears in the designated module

  • Users with the assigned role(s) can view and use the new value

  • The value displays with the selected color (if configured)

Troubleshooting / Common Errors

  • Cannot save the picklist: Make sure you clicked on the actual word/text of the value you added, not just anywhere on the screen

  • Value not appearing: Verify you selected the correct module and picklist field

  • Save button not working: Ensure you've clicked on the value text first - this is a required step before saving
