Symptom
When using Dazos CRM in dark mode, one or more picklist dropdown values appear blank or invisible. Users can see the dropdown is populated, but the text is not readable. The values display correctly in light mode.
Cause
Each picklist value can have a display color configured in the CRM. If a value has been assigned the color white (#ffffff), it will render as white text on a white or light-colored background in light mode — but become completely invisible against the dark background used in dark mode.
This is a configuration issue, not a code or system error. It can be resolved directly through the CRM admin settings without any developer involvement or downtime.
Solution
Follow these steps to update the color for each affected picklist value:
Navigate to Picklist Settings: Go to Settings → CRM Settings → Module Management → Picklist Field Values.
Select the Module: Choose the module that contains the affected picklist field from the Select Module dropdown (for example, Intake Opportunities).
Select the Affected Picklist: In the Select Picklist dropdown, choose the specific picklist field that contains the invisible values (for example, Admitting to LOC).
Review the Picklist Values: You will see the list of all values in the selected picklist. Identify any values that have white (#ffffff) set as their display color.
Update the Color: For each value with a white color, change the display color to a non-white option. The recommended color is the standard app blue (#1a7efb), which is clearly visible in both light and dark modes. Repeat this step for every affected value.
Click on the Value Text: After making your color change, click directly on the text of the value. This is a required step for the system to register your changes before saving.
Save Your Changes: Click Save to apply the updates. Changes take effect immediately — no deployment or downtime is required.
Verification
After saving your changes:
Switch to dark mode and open the affected picklist dropdown.
All updated values should now be clearly visible with the new color applied.
Values will display correctly in both light and dark modes.
Tips & Best Practices
⚠️ Warning: Avoid setting picklist value colors to white (#ffffff). While values may appear visible in light mode, they will be completely invisible in dark mode.
✅ Best Practice: When adding new picklist values, always choose a non-white display color. The standard app blue (#1a7efb) is a reliable default that works well in both light and dark modes.
💡 Tip: If you have a large number of values to update, work through them systematically one at a time, clicking on each value's text before saving to ensure all changes are captured.
