How to Add Custom Tokens in Dazos (iCampaign)

This guide explains how to create and add custom tokens in iCampaign templates within Dazos. Custom tokens let you insert reusable, dynamic content into your campaigns, making your messages consistent and easier to manage.

Before You Begin:

  • Ensure you have access to the Dazos iCampaign platform.

  • You must have permission to edit campaigns and company settings.

  • Prepare the content you want to store in the custom token (text, message, or reusable information).

Steps:

  1. Log in to Dazos iCampaign
    Navigate to the Dazos platform and log in to your account.

2. Open the Campaigns Section
From the main dashboard, click on Campaigns in the navigation menu.

3. Select the Campaign Template
Locate the campaign template where you want to use the token.
Select the checkbox next to the template you want to edit. (Make sure the Campaign is set as Unlock)

4. Edit the Template
Click Edit to open the campaign builder.

5. Open the Template Layout
Inside the template editor, locate the section where you want to insert the token.

6. Add a New Element
Click Add Element to add a content block to the template.

7. Select the token that you want to add
Choose a Token and place it in the desired location within the template.

8. You can also add a token by selecting a title and Double-click the text block

9. Insert a Token
Within the text editor, click the token insertion icon.

10. Select an Existing Token
Choose a token such as last_name or another available field to insert dynamic content.

11. Navigate to Settings
To create a new custom token, click Settings.

12. Open Company Settings
Select Company from the settings menu.

13. Access Custom Tokens
Click Custom Tokens for Templates.

14. Add a New Token
Click Add another token.

15. Enter the Token Title
In the Title field, enter a clear name for the token.
Example: Admissions Contact, Accreditation Message, or Program Highlight.

16. Add the Token Content
In the Content field, enter the text or message that the token will insert into templates.

17. Select an Icon (Optional)
Choose an icon that will represent the token in the editor.

18. Save the Token
Click Save to store the new custom token.

Verification / Expected Result:
After saving the token, it will appear in the token list inside the campaign editor. When inserted into a template, the token will automatically populate the saved content wherever it is used.

Troubleshooting / Common Errors:

  • The token does not appear in the editor
    Refresh the campaign editor or reopen the template after saving the token.

  • Token content is not updating
    Confirm that the token was saved correctly in Settings β†’ Company β†’ Custom Tokens for Templates.

  • Cannot edit tokens
    Ensure you have the required permissions to access company settings and modify tokens.
