Call Log Module Workflow Limitations: Task Creation Not Supported (CRM)

The Call Log module in Dazos CRM cannot trigger task creation through workflows. This is expected behavior, not a bug or system limitation.

Why Call Log Cannot Create Tasks

The Call Log module is designed as an activity/log-type module. Its primary purpose is to record communications and maintain a history of interactions with contacts.

Unlike primary modules such as Leads, Accounts, and Intake Opportunities, Call Log is not intended to serve as a trigger source for workflow-based task creation.

Modules That Support Task Creation via Workflows

The following modules can trigger task creation through workflows:

  • Leads

  • Accounts

  • Intake Opportunities

  • Other primary record modules

Alternative Solutions

If you need to create tasks related to call activities, consider these approaches:

  • Manual task creation: Create tasks directly from the Activities or Calendar module

  • Workflow triggers from other modules: Set up workflows on Leads or Accounts that create tasks when specific conditions are met

  • Integration-based solutions: Use third-party integrations like CTM or Zapier to trigger task creation based on call events

Feature Enhancement Requests

If your organization requires Call Log to trigger task creation, this can be logged as a Feature Enhancement request with Dazos Support.

When submitting a feature request, include details about your specific use case and workflow requirements.
