How to Fix EMR Discharge Type Mapping When Patients Show Incorrect Status (CRM)

Overview: This guide helps you fix incorrect patient status in Dazos CRM caused by a misconfigured EMR discharge type mapping

Symptom / Error

Patients discharged in the EMR continue to show as "In Treatment" in the CRM, even after clinical and medical discharge documents are completed.

Cause

The discharge type mapping is misconfigured. The system is set to "Successful → In Treatment" instead of "Successful → Discharged Completed", preventing the status from updating correctly.

Solution

  1. Navigate to the Discharge Type Mapping configuration in your settings.

  2. Locate the "Successful" mapping and confirm it currently shows "In Treatment" (incorrect).

  3. Update the mapping to "Successful → Discharged Completed".

  4. Click Save to apply the changes.

  5. Monitor newly discharged patients to confirm their status updates correctly.

⚠️ Note: This change only affects future discharges. Previously discharged patients may need their status updated manually.

Best Practice: After any mapping changes, always test the discharge workflow with a sample record before rolling out to staff.
