SMS Message Truncation and Logo Display Issues - Carrier-Side Limitations (CRM)

This FAQ addresses common SMS notification issues, including message truncation and inconsistent logo display across different recipients. Understanding these carrier-side limitations helps set proper expectations for SMS delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why are SMS notifications getting cut off or truncated for some recipients?

A: SMS message truncation is a carrier-side issue, not controlled by Dazos. Mobile carriers control how SMS messages are displayed on recipient phones, and this behavior can vary by carrier, device type, and individual phone settings.

According to our Terms of Service, SMS delivery happens over third-party carrier lines that are outside our control, and we disclaim liability for erroneous transmissions or loss of service caused by telecommunication service providers.

Q: Why do some users receive SMS messages with the Dazos logo while others don't?

A: Logo display inconsistency is also a carrier-side limitation. Each mobile carrier and device handles sender logos differently, which means:

  • Some carriers display sender logos automatically

  • Others may not support logo display at all

  • Logo visibility can vary based on the recipient's phone model and carrier settings

  • There is no way to guarantee consistent logo display across all recipients

Q: Can anything be done to improve SMS deliverability and reduce these issues?

A: For iCampaign specifically, we offer Trust Hub / A2P 10DLC compliance, which helps carriers recognize your messages as legitimate business communications. This compliance process can:

  • Improve overall SMS deliverability

  • Reduce message filtering by carriers

  • Enhance sender reputation

⚠️ Important: Trust Hub / A2P 10DLC compliance does not guarantee consistent logo display across all recipients, as this remains controlled by individual carriers and devices.

Q: Are these issues specific to certain Dazos products?

A: These carrier-side limitations affect SMS notifications across all Dazos platforms, including CRM, IQ, and iCampaign. The behavior is consistent regardless of which Dazos product sends the SMS message.
