Templates in iCampaign
Templates in iCampaign let you design branded email and SMS messages that can be reused across campaigns and workflows. Instead of starting from scratch each time, you can use templates to keep your communications consistent and on-brand.
The template editor is a drag-and-drop tool that makes it easy to build layouts with text, images, buttons, and other design elements. You can also add personalization tokens (like \text{\{\{subscriber.first\_name\}\}}) to customize each message.
iCampaign also includes out-of-the-box templates. These are provided as ready-to-use designs to help you get started quickly. Out-of-the-box templates cannot be edited or deleted. To customize one, simply duplicate it and save your own version.
Once saved, templates are stored in your iCampaign library, where you can browse, preview, edit, duplicate, or delete them based on your role and permissions.
Creating Templates

Drag and drop text, images, buttons, and layout blocks.

Always send a test email after setup to confirm proper configuration.

Sending Domains
A sending domain is the website domain connected to your email address. Verifying a domain:
Builds Trust — Recipients see your company's real email domain.

Protects Your Brand — Prevents spammers from impersonating your company.
Supported providers: Amazon SES and Mailgun.
Adding a New Domain:
Navigate to Settings → Sending Domains.
Click New Domain in the upper right corner.
Enter your company domain, select provider, and associate with workspaces. Click Next.
Follow all DNS verification steps provided by iCampaign.
Add the TXT and CNAME records to your domain provider's DNS settings.

Mailgun — Developer-friendly, robust APIs, and high-volume sending.
Only one service can be active at a time.
Managing Users and Roles
Key Assumptions
Only Admins can manage users and roles.
A role must exist before a user can be created.
Each user requires their own account (no shared accounts).
Changes to roles/permissions apply immediately after saving.
The Admin role cannot be deleted or downgraded.
User Management
Create a New User:
Go to Settings → Manage Users.
Click New User in the top right.
Complete all fields and click Create.

Note: Users cannot be deleted, only disabled or blocked.
Role Management
Roles define what actions users can perform and which parts of iCampaign they can access.
Adding a New Role:
Go to Settings → Manage Roles.
Click Add New Role in the top right.
Enter role name, select parent role (if applicable), and set permissions using checkboxes.
Permission Types:

Workspaces
Workspaces allow organizations to create separate working environments within the same platform. Each workspace is an independent container that organizes campaigns, subscribers, templates, reports, and users.
Each workspace:
Has its own data, settings, and resources (not visible across workspaces unless an admin enables sharing).
Allows a user to belong to one or more workspaces, with roles defined independently in each.
Manages campaigns and subscribers separately.
Tip: If there is more than one location but the same branding, use one Workspace.
Creating and Managing Workspaces
Create a New Workspace:
Go to Settings → Workspaces.
Click New Workspace in the top right.
Enter Workspace Name and Description. Click Save.
Edit Workspace: Admins can update the name or description at any time.
Delete Workspace:
Select the info icon from the list view.
Choose Delete and confirm in the pop-up.
Important: A deleted workspace cannot be restored. It will disappear from all iCampaign sections.
Switching Between Workspaces: Use the pick-list field at the top of any list view.
Associating Items with a Workspace: Use the Associate Workspace option via the info icon in list views. Items can be linked to one or more workspaces simultaneously.

The Theme section allows administrators to customize the look and feel of iCampaign to match organizational branding.
Customizable areas:
Header (background color, font size, font color)

Trust Hub — SMS Compliance
The Trust Hub ensures all SMS communications meet U.S. carrier requirements under A2P 10DLC (Application-to-Person 10-Digit Long Code) regulations.
Important: SMS messages cannot be sent via iCampaign until Trust Hub registration is complete.
Prerequisites:
Company must be legally registered (LLC, Corporation, Nonprofit, etc.).
U.S. EIN (Employer Identification Number) or valid equivalent required.
Business information must match exactly with official records.
Each campaign must focus on one use case and include clear opt-in/opt-out language.
Only U.S. phone numbers that support A2P 10DLC can be used.
Registration Steps:
Step | Action |
Complete the General Information Form in Trust Hub. Provide legal business name, address, and contact info.
Provide business identity, type, registration details, industry, regions, website, and authorized representative info.
Describe SMS use case, provide sample messages, include opt-in/opt-out instructions.
Purchase/select Twilio phone numbers and link them to your Campaign via a Messaging Service.
Key Notes on Approval:
Business profile issues (wrong EIN, mismatched name/address) are the #1 cause of rejections.
Poor sample messages or missing opt-in/opt-out details will delay campaign approval.
Brand approval may be instant or take a few days.
Campaign approval typically takes 1–3 business days.
