Before You Begin
This applies to all iCampaign messaging functionality within your Dazos workspace.
Campaign Messages vs. Conversation Messages
iCampaign handles two types of messages differently when it comes to CRM synchronization:
Campaign Messages
Campaign messages automatically sync to CRM records. When you send SMS campaigns through iCampaign, these messages are logged systematically and attach to the corresponding CRM record.
Conversation Messages
Individual conversation messages do not automatically sync to CRM records. When admissions reps send individual texts through the conversation feature, these messages are tracked in the Messages section for compliance and visibility, but they don't automatically attach to individual CRM records.
Tracking and Documentation
What's Tracked Automatically
SMS campaigns sent through iCampaign → Attached to CRM records
All messages (campaigns and conversations) → Tracked in the Messages section for compliance
What Requires Manual Documentation
Individual conversation messages → Must be manually documented in CRM if you want them recorded on the patient's record
Outreach communications from individual texts → Require manual CRM comments/notes
Expected Result
After understanding this distinction, you'll know when messages automatically appear in CRM records versus when manual documentation is needed for a complete patient communication history.
💡 Best Practices
Use campaign sends when you want automatic CRM documentation
Manually add notes to CRM records when using individual conversation messaging for important communications
Check the Messages section for complete compliance tracking of all communications
