Understanding the Compose SMS Module: Integration, Billing, and Configuration (CRM)

The Compose SMS Module is a new feature that allows you to send SMS messages directly from Dazos. This module integrates with multiple SMS providers and can be configured based on your existing setup.

Supported Integrations

The Compose SMS Module works with the following platforms:

  • iCampaign

  • CTM (CallTrackingMetrics)

  • CallRail

  • Spruce

The system is fully configurable, and there's a setting that allows you to choose which SMS provider to use.

How It Works with iCampaign

When you have iCampaign integrated:

  • SMS Engine: iCampaign serves as the SMS engine for sending messages

  • Message Counting: Each SMS sent is added to your Global iCampaign SMS counter

  • Billing: SMS messages are billed as part of your monthly iCampaign SMS package

  • Replies: When recipients reply to SMS messages sent through iCampaign, those replies appear in the iCampaign Conversations module

πŸ’‘ Tip: If you need to increase your monthly SMS allowance, contact your account manager or the sales team.

How It Works Without iCampaign

If you don't have iCampaign integrated:

  • SMS System: Messages are sent through your regular VOIP system (such as CallRail or CTM)

  • Backend: Uses the same SMS system that powers workflow SMS functionality

  • Billing: SMS costs are handled through your existing VOIP provider's billing system

Configuration and Setup

The Compose SMS Module includes proper configuration settings with supporting knowledge base articles. There's a dedicated setting that allows you to choose which SMS provider to use based on your integrations.

If any configuration steps aren't clear in the existing documentation, additional KB articles can be created to improve clarity.
