Symptom/Error
You have configured a PAA block to be hidden in the backend, but the block still appears on the form for users. Despite checking the hide settings, the block remains visible and cannot be properly hidden.
β
Cause
When a PAA block contains fields marked as mandatory, the system will override the hide setting and continue to display the block. This is because mandatory fields must be completed, so the system ensures they remain accessible to users.
β
Solution
Follow these steps to properly hide a PAA block that contains mandatory fields:
Access the PAA Module Settings: Navigate to your CRM settings and locate the PAA module configuration.
Identify the Block: Find the specific block that is not hiding properly (e.g., "Medical/Health" block).
Check for Mandatory Fields: Look for any questions within the block that are marked as mandatory. Common examples include questions like "Is there anyone else you would like involved in your treatment?"
Remove Mandatory Requirement: For each mandatory field within the block, uncheck the mandatory field setting.
Verify Block Hiding: After removing the mandatory requirements, confirm that the block now hides as expected when the hide setting is enabled.
Test the Configuration: Preview the PAA form to ensure the block no longer displays to users.
Expected Result
Once mandatory field requirements are removed from questions within the block, the block will hide completely as configured in the backend settings.
