How to Set Default Date Range on Dashboard Reports (CRM)

This guide explains how to set default date ranges for dashboards in Dazos CRM, so they display the correct timeframe when first accessed.

Before You Begin

Ensure you have access to dashboard settings in your CRM instance.

Identify the specific dashboard where you want to set the default date range.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Your Dashboard: Go to the dashboard where you want to set the default date range.

  2. Access Dashboard Settings: Click on "Dashboard Settings" or look for the settings gear icon on your dashboard.

  4. Set Your Date Range: Use the date field to configure your preferred default date range (such as "Last 30 days", "Last 14 days", or "Last 7 days").

  5. Save Changes: Click Save to apply your default date range settings to the dashboard.

Verification / Expected Result

After setting the default date range:

  • The dashboard will load with your specified default date range when first accessed

  • New users accessing the dashboard will see the appropriate timeframe instead of future dates

  • The date setting applies only to this specific dashboard, allowing you to customize different dashboards with different default ranges

Troubleshooting / Common Errors

Dashboard still showing 2025 dates: Verify that you enabled the default date setting and saved your changes. The setting must be both turned on and configured with the appropriate date range.

Date changes affecting all dashboards: Each dashboard has its own settings. Make sure you're configuring the default date for the specific dashboard you want to modify, not applying a global filter.

💡 Tip: You can set different default date ranges for different dashboards based on their purpose (e.g., last 30 days for overview dashboards, last 7 days for daily activity dashboards).
