How to Set Up Google Calendar Sync for BD Reps (CRM)

BD reps can sync their calendars with Google Calendar to automatically push events from Dazos to their Google Calendar. This is a one-way sync that requires temporary admin permissions for setup.

Before You Begin

  • BD rep must have an active Google Calendar account

  • A supervised call with Dazos Support must be scheduled due to security requirements

  • The rep will need temporary Customer Admin permissions during setup

⚠️ Important: This process requires a supervised call with Dazos Support due to security protocols involving temporary admin permission changes.

πŸ’‘ Note: This is a one-way sync β€” events created in Dazos Calendar will appear in Google Calendar, but events created in Google Calendar will not sync back to Dazos.

Steps

  1. Contact Dazos Support to schedule a supervised setup call. Temporary admin privilege changes must be made with support oversight for security purposes.

  2. During the scheduled call, Dazos Support will temporarily grant Customer Admin permissions to the BD rep. This is required to access the calendar integration settings.

  3. With temporary admin access, the BD rep navigates to their Preferences in Dazos and locates the Calendar Integration settings.

  4. Follow the OAuth authorization process to connect the BD rep's Google Calendar account. The rep will be prompted to authenticate with Google and grant permissions.

  5. Confirm the integration is working correctly, then Dazos Support will immediately remove the temporary admin permissions. This maintains system security while preserving the calendar sync functionality.

Verification / Expected Result

After setup is complete:

  • Events created in Dazos Calendar automatically appear in the rep's Google Calendar

  • The BD rep retains standard user permissions with no admin access

  • Changes to Dazos events sync to Google Calendar

  • Events created directly in Google Calendar remain separate and do not sync back

Security Considerations

βœ… Best Practice: Admin permissions are granted only during setup and immediately revoked to maintain system security.

⚠️ Note: This process must always be supervised by Dazos Support to ensure proper security protocols are followed.
