This article clarifies how the sync works so users and administrators have accurate expectations when using the integration.
Why This Matters
Previous documentation incorrectly described the Google Calendar sync as a "one-way" integration. This has been tested and confirmed by the Dazos Support team: the sync is bidirectional.
Understanding this is important for BD reps and other users who manage events across both platforms, as it affects how they plan, create, and update calendar events.
How the Bidirectional Sync Works
Once the Google Calendar integration is set up, events sync automatically in both directions:
Dazos → Google Calendar: Events created or updated in Dazos Calendar will automatically appear in the connected Google Calendar.
Google Calendar → Dazos: Events created or updated in Google Calendar will automatically sync back into the Dazos Calendar.
💡 Tip: You do not need to manually re-enter events in both systems. Any event created in either platform will be reflected in the other once the integration is active.
Setup Requirements
For BD reps, setting up the Google Calendar sync requires a supervised call with Dazos Support. Here is a summary of what is needed:
An active Google Calendar account
A scheduled supervised setup call with Dazos Support
Temporary Customer Admin permissions granted during setup (revoked immediately after)
⚠️ Important: The setup process must always be completed with Dazos Support oversight due to security protocols involving temporary admin permission changes.
Tips & Notes
✅ Best Practice: Admin permissions are granted only during the setup call and are immediately revoked once the integration is confirmed to be working.
⚠️ Note: If you encounter any documentation — internal or external — that refers to this integration as a "one-way sync," that information is outdated. The Google Calendar sync in Dazos is confirmed to be bidirectional.
