When to Use This / Why It Matters
If you notice that an activity you removed from an opportunity is still showing on your Dazos Calendar — or still appearing in your Outlook — it is likely because the activity was only disconnected from that record, not fully deleted. This distinction is important for anyone managing tasks, events, and calendar sync with Outlook (Office 365).
The Difference Explained
Removing an Activity from a Record's Sub-Panel or Related List
When you remove an activity from an opportunity's sub-panel or related list, you are only disconnecting the link between that activity and the patient's file. The activity itself still exists in the system.
The activity remains on the Dazos Calendar.
The activity continues to sync with Outlook.
No data is lost, but the activity is no longer associated with that specific opportunity or record.
Deleting an Activity from the Dazos Calendar
To fully remove an activity — including clearing it from your Outlook calendar — the deletion must be performed directly from the main Dazos Calendar interface.
Once deleted from the Calendar view, the system pushes that update through the sync bridge.
The activity is removed from Outlook as part of the sync process.
The activity no longer appears anywhere in the system.
How to Completely Delete an Activity
Navigate to the Calendar module in Dazos CRM.
Locate the activity or task you want to remove.
Open the activity and select the option to Delete it.
Confirm the deletion.
Once deleted from the Calendar view, Dazos will push the update through the Outlook sync bridge, and the event or task will be cleared from Outlook automatically.
Tips & Notes
⚠️ Warning: Removing an activity from an opportunity's sub-panel does not delete it. Always go to the main Calendar module if you need the activity to be fully removed from both Dazos and Outlook.
💡 Tip: Completed activities are kept on the Calendar by design as a historical record of work performed. Marking a task as complete will remove it from your active Upcoming Tasks panel, but it will remain visible on the Calendar.
✅ Best Practice: If an activity is no longer needed and should not appear on your calendar or in Outlook, always delete it directly from the Dazos Calendar view rather than from a record's related list.
