Fields That Cannot Be Removed
The following fields are permanently part of the Instant VOB form layout and cannot be removed through system module layout configurations:
Member ID
Payer Code
Primary Insurance Company
Health Plan ID
These fields are built into the core structure of the Instant VOB form and are required for proper insurance verification functionality.
Why This Limitation Exists
These fields are essential system components for the Instant VOB process. They provide critical data that the insurance verification system needs to:
Identify the correct insurance provider
Process verification requests through clearinghouses
Return accurate coverage information
Maintain data integrity across the verification workflow
Available Configuration Options
While these specific fields cannot be removed, you can still customize other aspects of your Instant VOB form:
Add custom fields through the VOB module's field customization
Configure reference fields to pull data from other modules
Set up workflow notifications based on VOB completion
Customize form layouts for other configurable fields
Future Enhancement Possibility
Admin-configurable field management for Instant VOB forms has been identified as a potential feature enhancement. This would include:
Settings panel to control field visibility and requirements
Toggle options for individual field inclusion
Clear configuration view for active form fields
