Symptom/Error
You receive error messages when trying to manually pull a specific patient from your EMR (such as Sunwave) using the Manual Pull Patients setting in Dazos.
This typically occurs with patients who were admitted right before your facility switched to Dazos and whose charts missed the original data import process.
Cause
The patient record was not included in the initial EMR data import when your facility switched to Dazos. This can happen when patients are admitted during the transition period between systems.
Solution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Manual Patient Creation: Create the patient record manually in Dazos with all necessary demographic and clinical information.
Link to EMR Integration: Once the patient record is created in Dazos, link it to your EMR integration (such as Sunwave) to enable proper data synchronization going forward.
Verify Integration: Confirm that the patient record is now properly connected to your EMR system and that future data will sync correctly.
Note: This manual creation and linking process serves as an effective workaround for individual patient records that were missed during the original data import.
When to Contact Support
Contact Dazos support if:
You encounter this issue with multiple patients
You're unsure how to manually create patient records in Dazos
You need assistance linking patient records to your EMR integration
The manual workaround doesn't resolve the synchronization issue
Prevention
Keep a close eye on patient admissions during any future system transitions or updates to ensure all records are properly imported and no patients are missed.
