Dialpad Integration: Contact Center Name Field Mapping Limitations (CRM)

Overview When setting up Dialpad integrations with Dazos CRM, the Contact Center name field may not be available in the Dialpad integration payload, limiting your lead source mapping options to Group IDs only.

When This Matters

This limitation is important when:

  • You want lead sources to display Contact Center names instead of numeric Group IDs

  • You need easily identifiable lead source information for reporting

  • You're configuring Dialpad field mapping and the Contact Center name option is missing

Available Fields from Dialpad Integration

The following fields are available for mapping in Dazos from the Dialpad payload:

  • Contact Email, Phone, ID, and Type

  • Agent Name, Email, Phone, ID, and Type

  • Date Started, Date Connected, and Date Ended

  • Duration and Total Duration

  • Call Dispositions and State

  • Internal Number and External Number

  • Group ID

  • Direction, Is Transferred, Was Recorded

  • Transcription Text and Voicemail Link

  • Entry Point Call ID, Operator Call ID, Call ID, and Master Call ID

Contact Center Name Field Limitation

⚠️ Important: The Contact Center name field is not included in the standard Dialpad integration payload. This means:

  • Contact Center names cannot be mapped directly to lead source fields in Dazos

  • Only Group IDs are available for mapping, which display as numeric values

  • This limitation exists on Dialpad's side, not within the Dazos integration

Verification Process

To confirm whether Contact Center name fields are available for your specific Dialpad configuration:

  1. Contact Dialpad Support directly through their official support channels

  2. Provide your specific Dialpad setup details

  3. Ask them to confirm whether Contact Center name data is included in their API payload

  4. Request information about any configuration changes needed to include this field

Alternative Solutions

If Contact Center names are not available from Dialpad:

  • Group ID Reference — create a reference document mapping Group IDs to Contact Center names for your team

  • Custom Workflows — use automation rules in Dazos to transform Group IDs into readable names if you have a consistent mapping

  • Dialpad Configuration — work with Dialpad support to explore whether your setup can be modified to include Contact Center names

Tips & Notes

💡 Tip: Since Dialpad is an external platform, field availability depends entirely on their API configuration and your specific Dialpad setup.

Best Practice: Always verify field availability with the source system (Dialpad) before planning your integration mapping strategy.

⚠️ Note: If Contact Center name fields are not being sent in the Dialpad payload, they cannot be mapped in Dazos regardless of integration settings.
