1. Before You Start
You will need:
An administrator account with access to the CRM Settings area.
The Submit New Lead form should already be configured with the fields your team uses (via Layout Editor → "Use in Submit New Lead Form"). This guide only covers arranging the order of those fields — not adding or removing them.
Access requirements: This feature is available to CRM administrators. Regular users do not see the arrange settings page.
If you do not see Settings in the left navigation or cannot find the Other Settings tab, contact Dazos support to verify your administrator role is enabled for your instance.
2. Open the Field Arrange Settings Page
From the CRM, navigate to Settings (left navigation) → Other Settings tab → click Arrange Submit New Lead Fields.
The page displays all fields that are eligible to appear on the Submit New Lead form as draggable cards. Fields that have been hidden via the Layout Editor or that are managed automatically by the system are excluded from this list.
The page opens showing the current saved order (or the default module-grouped order if no custom order has been saved yet).
3. Rearrange Fields by Dragging
Each card represents one field on the Submit New Lead form.
Desktop: Click and hold any card, drag it to the desired position, then release. Touch devices: Press and hold a card briefly until it lifts, then drag it to the new position.
You can freely interleave fields from all four modules (Leads, Contacts, Opportunities, VOB) — there is no restriction on mixing fields across modules.
Tip: A search box is available at the top of the card list to help you quickly locate a specific field by name when the list is long.
Control | Purpose |
Drag handle (left side of card) | Pick up and reposition the card |
Search box | Filter visible cards by field name |
Reset to Default | Restore the standard module-grouped order |
Save Order | Persist the current card arrangement |
Note: Admissions Rep does not appear in the card list. This field is shown or hidden automatically on the form based on who the BD Rep is set to — it cannot be manually positioned.
4. Save or Reset the Field Order
To save your arrangement: Click Save Order (green button, top right). A success notification will confirm the order was saved. The Submit New Lead form will immediately reflect the new field order for all users — no page reload is required on the form side.
To restore the default order: Click Reset to Default (red button, top right). A confirmation modal will appear explaining the change:
The modal lists the default module grouping: Lead fields first, then Contact, Opportunity, and VOB fields.
Click Yes to confirm the reset, or No to cancel.
After reset, the form shows the standard module-grouped order in the same two-column layout.
Important: Clicking Reset to Default and confirming cannot be undone through the UI. If you need to restore a previous custom order, you will need to drag the cards back to your preferred positions and save again.
5. What Users See on the Submit New Lead Form
Once a custom order is saved, the Submit New Lead form displays fields in a two-column interleaved layout following exactly the sequence you arranged.
Key behaviors for end users:
Field / behavior | How it works |
Admissions Rep | Hidden automatically when the BD Rep defaults to the logged-in user. No blank space is left in its place. Appears when the BD Rep is changed to a different person. |
DOS Start Date / DOS End Date | Submitted automatically with today's date in the background. Users do not see or fill these fields. |
Required fields | Marked with a red asterisk (*). The form will not submit until all required fields are filled. |
On mobile (≤ 767 px) | Each field stacks full-width for easy touch input. |
Tip: If the field order on the form does not appear to have changed after saving, try a hard refresh of the Submit New Lead page (Ctrl + Shift + R on most browsers).
6. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I saved an order but the form still shows the old order. What should I do? Try a hard refresh of the Submit New Lead page (Ctrl + Shift + R or Cmd + Shift + R). The order is applied server-side and takes effect immediately after saving, so a stale browser cache is the most common cause.
Q: Can I add or remove fields from the arrange list?
No — this page only controls the display order. To add or remove a field from the Submit New Lead form, use the Layout Editor and check or uncheck "Use in Submit New Lead Form" for that field. Changes there are reflected in this list automatically.
Q: Why is Admissions Rep missing from the card list? Admissions Rep is shown or hidden at runtime based on the BD Rep selection. Because its visibility is determined automatically, it cannot be positioned manually — the system manages its placement.
Q: What happens if I reset to default — do I lose my saved order permanently?
Yes. Reset to Default replaces your saved order with the standard module-grouped sequence (Lead → Contact → Opportunity → VOB). There is no built-in way to restore the previous custom order through the UI once reset is confirmed.
Q: Does changing the field order affect anything other than the Submit New Lead form? No. The arrangement only affects the Submit New Lead form. It does not change the standard Add Lead form, any list views, reports, or other module configurations.
Q: Who can access the Arrange Submit New Lead Fields page? Only CRM administrators. Standard users submitting leads cannot see or change this setting.
Q: What happens to fields I added to the order if they are later hidden in the Layout Editor? Hidden fields are automatically excluded from the arrange UI and from the Submit New Lead form.
They remain in the saved order data but are silently skipped — no blank space is left and no error occurs.
Q: Is this setting per-instance or global? It is per-instance. Each tenant's field arrangement is stored separately and does not affect other accounts on the platform.
Need Help?
If you run into issues:
1. Verify you are logged in as an administrator and that the Other Settings tab is visible in Settings.
2. Try clicking Reset to Default, then re-save your custom order to rule out a corrupted save state.
