LOC Hx Report Fields — Full Dynamic Filter Operators (CRM)

LOC Hx (Level of Care History) fields in the Reports module now display the full set of filter operators appropriate for their data type. Previously, these fields only showed equals and not equal to regardless of field type, making it impossible to filter

⚠️ Note: All previously saved reports that include LOC Hx conditions continue to work without any changes. Existing "equals" and "not equal to" conditions are not affected.

What Changed

In the Report Wizard (Step 2 — Filters), when you select a field from the LOC Hx section, the operator dropdown now shows the correct options for that field type:

Field Type

Available Operators

Date fields (e.g., Start Date, End Date)

before, after, between, Today, This Week, This Month, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, is empty, is not empty

Text / String fields

contains, does not contain, starts with, ends with, equals, not equal to, is empty, is not empty

Picklist / Dropdown fields (e.g., Level of Care)

equals, not equal to, is empty, is not empty

Where to Find This Feature

  1. Log in to the CRM and click Reports in the top navigation bar

  2. Click Create Report or open an existing report and click Modify Report

  3. Select Chart and Detail as the report type (if creating new)

  4. In Step 1, set your Primary module and add LOC Hx as a secondary module

  5. Proceed to Step 2 — Filters where the improved operators are available

How to Filter LOC Hx Fields

Filter by a Specific Date Range

  1. In Step 2, click Add Condition

  2. Expand the LOC Hx section and select Start Date or End Date

  3. In the operator dropdown, select between

  4. Two date pickers appear — enter the start and end of your range

  5. Click Add to save the condition, then Save & Generate to run the report

Example: To find all patients with a LOC Hx Start Date between January 1, 2025 and June 30, 2025, select "between" and enter those two dates.

Filter by a Dynamic Date (e.g., Last 30 Days, This Month)

  1. In Step 2, click Add Condition

  2. Select (LOC Hx) Start Date from the field dropdown

  3. In the operator dropdown, choose a dynamic option: Today, This Week, This Month, Last 7 Days, or Last 30 Days

  4. No value input is needed — the date range recalculates automatically each time the report runs

  5. Click Add, then save or generate the report

💡 Tip: Dynamic date filters are ideal for reports you run regularly. "Last 30 Days" always covers the 30 days before today — you never need to update the dates manually.

Filter by Before or After a Date

  1. In Step 2, click Add Condition

  2. Select (LOC Hx) Start Date or End Date

  3. Choose before or after from the operator dropdown

  4. Enter a single date in the value field

  5. Click Add

Filter for Empty or Filled LOC Hx Fields

  1. In Step 2, click Add Condition

  2. Select any LOC Hx field

  3. Choose is empty or is not empty from the operator dropdown

  4. No value input is needed — click Add

Filter by a Text or Picklist Field

  1. In Step 2, click Add Condition

  2. Select a text or picklist field from the LOC Hx section

  3. For text fields: choose contains, starts with, or ends with, then type a search value

  4. For picklist fields: choose equals or not equal to, then select a value from the list

  5. Click Add to save the condition

Combining Multiple LOC Hx Filters

You can add more than one filter condition in Step 2. By default, all conditions use AND logic — a record must match every condition to appear in results.

Example — patients with a LOC Hx Start Date in the last 30 days AND a specific Level of Care:

  1. Add Condition 1: (LOC Hx) Start Date — Last 30 Days

  2. Add Condition 2: (LOC Hx) Level of Care — equals — [select the care level]

  3. Save and generate — only records matching both conditions are returned

Saving and Reusing the Report

  1. After configuring all steps, click Save Report

  2. Give the report a descriptive name (e.g., "LOC Hx Admissions — Last 30 Days")

  3. To run it again later, click the report name → Generate Report

  4. To update filters, click Modify Report and navigate to Step 2

💡 Tip: If you have an existing LOC Hx report that used "equals" on a date field, open it, go to Step 2, and update the operator to a date-range option. No other changes are needed.

Notes

  • This change applies to the Reports module only — it does not affect list views, search screens, or any other part of the CRM

  • No configuration or data changes are required — the new operators are available immediately

  • All previously saved reports that include LOC Hx conditions continue to run correctly without any modifications
