2. What Changed
In the Report Wizard (Step 2 — Filters), when you select a field from the LOC Hx section, the operator dropdown now shows the correct options for that field's type:
• Date fields (e.g. Start Date, End Date) — before, after, between, Today, This Week, This Month, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, and more
• Text / String fields — contains, does not contain, starts with, ends with, is empty, is not empty • Picklist / Dropdown fields (e.g. Level of Care) — equals, not equal to, is empty, is not empty • All field types — is empty and is not empty are now available
Tip: All previously saved reports that include LOC Hx conditions continue to work without any changes. The "equals" and "not equal to" operators remain valid and any existing conditions using them are not affected.
3. Where to Find This Feature
1. Log in to the CRM.
2. Click Reports in the top navigation bar.
3. Click Create Report to build a new report, or open an existing report and click Modify Report.
4. Select Chart and Detail as the report type (if creating new).
5. In Step 1, set your Primary module (e.g. Contacts or Intake Opportunities) and add LOC Hx as a secondary module.
6. Proceed to Step 2 — Filters. This is where the improved operators are available.
4. How to Filter LOC Hx Fields in a Report
4.1 Filter by a Specific Date Range (Start Date / End Date)
7. In Step 2 (Filters), click Add Condition.
8. In the field dropdown, expand the LOC Hx section and select Start Date (or End Date). 9. Click the operator dropdown — date-specific options now appear.
10. Select between.
11. Two date pickers appear. Enter the start of your range in the first field and the end of your range in the second. 12. Click Add to save the condition.
13. Click Next or Save & Generate to run the report.
Example: to find all patients with a LOC Hx Start Date between January 1, 2025 and June 30, 2025, select "between" and enter those two dates.
4.2 Filter by a Dynamic Date (e.g. Last 30 Days, This Month)
14. In Step 2 (Filters), click Add Condition.
15. Select (LOC Hx) Start Date from the field dropdown.
16. In the operator dropdown, choose a dynamic option: Today, This Week, This Month, Last 7 Days, or Last 30 Days. 17. No value input is needed — the date range is recalculated automatically each time the report runs.
18. Click Add, then save or generate the report.
Tip: Dynamic date filters are ideal for reports you run regularly. "Last 30 Days" always covers the 30 days before today — you never need to update the dates manually.
4.3 Filter by Before or After a Date
19. In Step 2 (Filters), click Add Condition.
20. Select (LOC Hx) Start Date (or End Date).
21. In the operator dropdown, choose before or after.
22. Enter a single date in the value field.
23. Click Add. The report returns only records where the date is before (or after) the entered date.
4.4 Filter for Records Where a LOC Hx Field is Empty or Filled
24. In Step 2 (Filters), click Add Condition.
25. Select any LOC Hx field (e.g. Start Date, End Date, or a text field).
26. In the operator dropdown, choose is empty or is not empty.
27. No value input is needed.
28. Click Add. The report returns only records where that field has no value (or has a value, respectively).
4.5 Filter by a LOC Hx Text or Picklist Field
29. In Step 2 (Filters), click Add Condition.
30. Select a text or picklist field from the LOC Hx section.
31. For text fields: choose an operator such as contains, starts with, or ends with, then type a search value. 32. For picklist fields: choose equals or not equal to, then select a value from the list.
33. Click Add to save the condition.
5. Combining Multiple LOC Hx Filters
You can add more than one filter condition in Step 2. By default, all conditions use AND logic — a record must match every condition to appear in the results.
Example — patients with a LOC Hx Start Date in the last 30 days AND a specific Level of Care:
34. Add Condition 1: (LOC Hx) Start Date — Last 30 Days
35. Add Condition 2: (LOC Hx) Level of Care — equals — [select the care level]
36. Save and generate. Only records matching both conditions are returned.
6. Saving and Reusing the Report
37. After configuring all steps, click Save Report.
38. Give the report a descriptive name (e.g. "LOC Hx Admissions — Last 30 Days").
39. The report appears in your Reports list.
40. To run it again later, click the report name → Generate Report.
41. To update the date range or other filters, click Modify Report and navigate to Step 2.
Tip: If you have an existing LOC Hx report that used "equals" on a date field, open it, go to Step 2, and update the operator to a date-range option. No other changes to the report are needed.
