Overview
UR Authorization fields — such as auth status and level of care — cannot be directly added to the Daily Census (Billing Census) module as native fields. Module fields are specific to the module they are built in and are not configurable as embedded fields in other modules.
The recommended workaround is to build a custom Report using Intake Opportunities as the Primary Module, then pull in UR Authorization fields as additional columns. This produces a single exportable report containing all the census and authorization data you need.
Before You Begin
Ensure you have access to the Reports feature in Dazos CRM.
Confirm that your UR Authorization records are linked to Intake Opportunity records.
Have a clear list of the UR Authorization fields you want to include (e.g., auth status, level of care).
Steps
Navigate to Reports. Click Reports in the top navigation bar of the CRM.
Create a new report. Click Create Report and select Chart and Detail as the report type.
Set Intake Opportunities as the Primary Module. In Step 1 of the Report Wizard, select Intake Opportunities as your Primary Module. This is the module that links to your UR Authorization records.
Add UR Authorizations as a secondary module. Still in Step 1, add UR Authorizations as an additional (secondary) module so its fields become available as columns.
Select your columns. In Step 2, add the columns you need for your daily census report. Include relevant Intake Opportunity fields (e.g., patient name, census status) alongside UR Authorization fields such as auth status and level of care.
Apply any filters needed. In the Filters step, configure conditions to scope the report to the correct date range or patient population for your daily census.
Save and generate the report. Give the report a descriptive name (e.g., "Daily Census with UR Authorizations") and click Save & Generate to run it.
Verification / Expected Result
After completing these steps, your report will display a combined view of patient census data alongside UR Authorization fields — including auth status and level of care — in a single exportable report. You can re-run or schedule this report as needed for your daily census workflow.
Troubleshooting / Common Errors
UR Authorization fields not appearing as column options: Confirm that UR Authorizations has been added as a secondary module in Step 1 of the Report Wizard. Fields from a module only become available after it is added as a source.
Report returns no data: Check that your UR Authorization records are correctly linked to Intake Opportunity records. Unlinked records will not appear in the report output.
Missing fields in the column list: Only fields that exist within the UR Authorizations module will be available. If a field you need does not appear, contact Dazos Support to confirm the field exists and is reportable.
⚠️ Platform Limitation: UR Authorization module fields cannot be natively embedded in the Daily Census (Billing Census) module. This is a system-wide limitation — the Reports workaround described above is the supported method for combining this data.
💡 Tip: Once you have saved this report, you can re-run it daily with one click. Consider naming it clearly (e.g., "Daily Census — UR Auth Status") so your team can find and use it consistently.
