Web Page Domains (iCampaign)

Connect your own subdomain (e.g., web.yourbusiness.com) to iCampaign to publish landing pages with your branded URL and HTTPS. Add a DNS record, verify the domain, and start using it for your web pages.

1. Before You Start

You will need:

  • A subdomain you own — for example web.yourbusiness.com . Do not use your main (root) domain such as yourbusiness.com.

  • Access to your domain's DNS provider (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Hostinger, etc.) so you can add one DNS record.

  • The Domains permission in iCampaign — the same permission used for Sending Domains.

Access requirements: Any workspace admin, or any user granted the Domains permission, can add and manage Web Domains. Super admins always have access.

If the "Web Domains" option isn't visible in your menu, contact Dazos support to confirm your role includes the Domains permission for your instance.

2. Open Web Domains

From iCampaign, go to Settings → Domains → Web Domains. You can also jump there from the Sending Domains screen using the Web Domains button in the top toolbar — and the Web Domains screen has a matching Sending Domains button to switch back.

The Web Domains screen lists your web domains with their verification status and the date each was added.

3. Add a Web Page Domain

Click New Web Page Domain (top right) and complete the form:

The subdomain you own. No https:// , http:// or www.

web.yourbusiness.com

Then click Set up web domain.

Tip: Always register a subdomain (like web.yourbusiness.com ), never your main domain. A subdomain keeps your existing website completely untouched.

4. The Root-Domain Safety Warning

If you accidentally enter your main (root) domain (e.g. yourbusiness.com ) instead of a subdomain, iCampaign stops and shows a prominent warning:

You have two choices:

Button

What it does

Choose a subdomain

Closes the warning and returns you to the form so you can enter a subdomain. Nothing is saved.

I understand, continue

anyway

Proceeds with the root domain. Use this only if you are absolutely certain.

Important: Pointing your main domain at our servers can take your existing website offline. Unless you are certain, choose a subdomain instead.

5. Add the CNAME Record

After setup you land on the CNAME Configuration page. It shows the exact record to create at your DNS provider, with a Name and a Value — each has a copy button so you can paste them exactly.

  1. Log in to your DNS provider and open DNS Management (or "DNS Records").

  2. Add a new record of type CNAME.

  3. Copy the Name from the setup page into your provider's "Name" / "Hostname" field.

  4. Copy the Value from the setup page into your provider's "Value" / "Content" / "Target" field.

  5. Set the TTL to 600 seconds (or the lowest your provider allows) and save.

Tip: Two common pitfalls — (1) some providers silently add a trailing space when you paste, so re-copy if verification fails; (2) some providers (like GoDaddy) auto-append your domain to the Name, so you may only need the prefix, not the full host.

6. Verify the Domain

Back on the CNAME Configuration page, click Check status:

  • If the record is found and correct, the status changes to Web Domain Verified.

  • If it's not found yet, DNS changes can take 5–30 minutes to spread across the internet — wait a little and click Check status again.

Once verified, an HTTPS certificate is provisioned for your domain automatically in the background, so your future landing pages load securely.

7. Managing Your Web Domains

On the Web Domains list you can:

Control

Purpose

Search / sort

Find a domain by name, status, or date added

Column picker

Choose which columns to display

Domain name link

Open a domain's CNAME Configuration / status page

Delete

Remove a domain (select it, or use the row menu)

Tip: Some system-reserved domains are protected and cannot be deleted. If you try, you'll see a message and the domain will remain.

8. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need to set up email (Sending Domains) first? No. Web Domains are completely independent. You can add a web domain without configuring the domain for email.

Q: Can I use the same domain for both email and web? Yes. Add the root domain as a Sending Domain for email, and separately add a subdomain of it (e.g. web.yourbusiness.com ) as a Web Domain. They are two independent entries.

Q: Why does my domain stay "Pending"? The CNAME record hasn't been detected yet. DNS changes take time to propagate — wait a few minutes and re-check. Also confirm the Name and Value match exactly, with no extra spaces.

Q: Can I use my main domain instead of a subdomain? It is strongly discouraged. Pointing your main domain at us can take your existing website offline, which is why the app warns you. Use a subdomain.

Q: How is HTTPS handled? Automatically. Once your domain is verified, the secure certificate is requested for you in the background — there is nothing extra to configure.

Q: How do I remove a web domain? Select it on the list (or use the row menu) and click Delete. Protected system domains cannot be removed.

Need Help?

If you run into issues:

  1. On the CNAME Configuration page, click Check status to re-verify.

  2. Double-check the record at your DNS provider — the Name and Value must match exactly (watch for trailing spaces, and note that some providers auto-append your domain to the Name).

  3. Contact Dazos support with the details and reference ICD-1116.
