Before You Begin
You'll need:
A subdomain you own and control (e.g.,
web.yourbusiness.com). We strongly recommend a subdomain, not your main website address.Access to your DNS provider's control panel (the company you bought your domain from — GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Hostinger, Google Domains, etc.), including login credentials.
Permission to edit your domain's DNS records.
The Domain permission in iCampaign (the same permission used for Sending Domains). Workspace admins have this by default.
⚠️ Warning: Use a subdomain (like web.yourbusiness.com), never your root domain (yourbusiness.com). Pointing your root domain at us can take your existing website offline. iCampaign will warn you if you enter a root domain.
💡 Tip: If you don't see Web Domains in the menu, your account may not have the Domain permission enabled — contact your administrator or Dazos support to enable it.
Steps
1. Open Web Domains
From the left menu, go to Settings → Domains → Web Domains. This screen lists every web page domain you've registered, along with its verification status and the date it was added.
Control | Purpose |
New Web Page Domain | Start registering a new subdomain |
Sending Domains | Switch across to the email (Sending Domains) screen |
Search & sort | Find a domain by name or filter by status/date |
Row menu (⋮) | Manage workspaces for a domain, or delete it |
2. Register a Web Page Domain
Click New Web Page Domain to open the registration form and fill in the fields:
Field | Description | Example |
Web page subdomain | The subdomain you own. Do not include |
|
Select your provider | The company that manages your domain's DNS. Pick Other if it isn't listed. |
|
Associate workspaces | The workspace(s) this domain belongs to. Your default workspace is always included. |
|
Click Set up web domain. iCampaign saves the domain and takes you straight into the guided setup wizard.
💡 Tip: If you accidentally enter your main/root domain, a warning appears explaining the risk. You can pick a subdomain instead, or continue only if you're certain.
3. Setup Step 1 — Sign In to Your DNS Host
Open a new browser tab and sign in to your DNS provider. The Opens in your DNS host button takes you straight to the login page for the provider you selected. Once signed in, click Next Step.
4. Setup Step 2 — Find the DNS Settings Page
Inside your DNS provider, look for the page that manages DNS records — usually called DNS, Manage DNS, or DNS Settings, often under "My Products" or "Domain Settings." You're looking for the page listing records like CNAME. Click Next Step once found.
5. Setup Step 3 — Add Your CNAME Record
This is the key step — add one CNAME record pointing your subdomain at our servers.
Field | What to enter |
Type |
|
Name (or "Hostname") | Copy the Name shown on your screen (your subdomain) |
Value (or "Content"/"Points to") | Copy the Value shown on your screen |
TTL |
|
Use the Copy button next to each value to avoid typing mistakes. Save the record in your DNS provider, then click Next Step.
💡 Tip: Copy the Value directly from your own screen using the Copy button. Some DNS providers silently add a space when you paste — re-copy if verification doesn't succeed the first time.
6. Setup Step 4 — Save & Verify
After saving the record at your DNS provider, click Check status. iCampaign looks up your subdomain and confirms the record is pointing to us.
Verification / Expected Result
If correct, the status changes to Verified and a secure HTTPS certificate is requested automatically.
If not found yet, wait 5–30 minutes (sometimes longer) for the DNS change to propagate, then click Check status again.
Click Finish to return to the Web Domains list once verified.
💡 Tip: Seeing "not yet verified" right after saving is normal — DNS changes take time to take effect. It doesn't mean you did anything wrong; just wait a little and re-check.
Managing Your Web Domains
From the Web Domains list, each row has a menu (⋮) with two options:
Option | What it does |
Workspaces | Opens a window to add or remove the workspace(s) a domain is shared with. Your default workspace is always kept and can't be removed. |
Delete | Removes the domain. You can select multiple rows to delete together. |
⚠️ Warning: Protected domains cannot be deleted. If any domain in your selection is protected, nothing is deleted and a message explains why.
Troubleshooting / Common Errors
Verification stuck on "not verified": Wait a few minutes and click Check status again — DNS propagation can take 5–30 minutes or longer.
Verification keeps failing: Confirm the record type is CNAME and that the Name and Value match exactly what's shown on screen (watch for accidental trailing spaces).
Can't find Web Domains in the menu: Your account may be missing the Domain permission — contact your administrator or Dazos support.
