Before You Begin
You'll need:
Access to the CRM Settings → User Management → Users area.
The user whose link you want to copy must already exist and have an Access Key on their profile.
Access requirements:
Administrators and Customer Admins can copy the link for any user.
A regular user (not an admin) can only copy the link for their own profile.
The link only opens the documentation for users who are Administrators or Customer Admins and whose account status is Active — this matches how the API documentation page itself controls access.
💡 Tip: If you don't see the Copy API Doc Link option described below, contact Dazos support to confirm the feature is enabled for your instance and that your role has the right access.
Steps
1. Open the User's Detail Page
From the CRM, navigate to Settings → User Management → Users, then click the user you want to open. Their detail page appears with an Edit button and a More button in the top-right corner.
2. Copy the API Doc Link
Click the More button to open the actions menu, then click Copy API Doc Link.
The CRM builds the personalized link on the spot and places it on your clipboard. A green "API documentation link copied to clipboard" confirmation appears at the top of the screen.
Menu item | What it does |
Copy API Doc Link | Copies this user's personal, login-free API documentation link to your clipboard. |
💡 Tip: The link is generated fresh each time you click, using the user's current access key. You never have to type or assemble the address yourself.
3. Share and Use the Link
Once the link is on your clipboard, paste it (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V) wherever you need it — an email, a chat message, or a browser address bar. Opening the link shows the API documentation page directly, without a separate CRM login.
⚠️ Warning: The link contains the user's private access key. Treat it like a password — share it only with people who are meant to have it, and only through secure channels.
Depending on your browser and site address, one of the following happens when you click Copy API Doc Link:
What you see | What to do |
A green "copied to clipboard" confirmation | Nothing more — the link is ready to paste. |
A small pop-up showing the link text | Select the text and copy it manually, then close the pop-up. |
Verification / Expected Result
A green confirmation banner appears at the top of the screen, or a pop-up shows the link text.
The link is on your clipboard (or visible in the pop-up), ready to paste.
Opening the link loads the API documentation page directly, with no CRM login prompt.
Troubleshooting / Common Errors
Message says the user has no access key: Open the same More menu and choose Change Access Key to generate one for that user, then use Copy API Doc Link again.
Link shows a "not found" response when opened: The target user isn't an Administrator/Customer Admin, or their account isn't Active — the documentation only loads for eligible users.
Link stopped working after previously working: The user's access key was changed. Copy a fresh link and re-share it.
