This applies to both Accounts and Intake Opportunities imports in Dazos CRM.
Symptom
You started a CSV import (Accounts or Intake Opportunities).
The import status shows "Running" for an extended period of time.
The import does not complete or progress, even after waiting.
Cause
Large CSV files — typically those containing more than approximately 500 records — can cause the import process to stall. This is a known system limitation. The import does not fail with an error message; it simply remains in a "Running" state without completing.
Solution: Split the File Into Smaller Batches
Break your import file into multiple smaller files of approximately 500 records each, then import them one batch at a time.
Open your original CSV file in Excel, Google Sheets, or your preferred spreadsheet tool.
Create a new file for the first batch containing rows 1–500 (keep the header row in every file).
Create a second file for rows 501–1000, and continue until all records are distributed across files of ~500 rows each.
Navigate to the relevant module in Dazos CRM (Accounts or Intake Opportunities).
Run the import using your first batch file. Wait for it to complete successfully before starting the next batch.
Repeat the import process for each remaining batch file until all records have been imported.
💡 Tip: Always wait for one batch to finish before starting the next. This helps avoid placing additional load on the import process while it is still running.
Verification / Expected Result
After importing each batch, the import status should update from "Running" to a completed state. Navigate to the Accounts or Intake Opportunities module to confirm that the records from each batch appear correctly in the system.
When to Contact Support
If your import file contains fewer than 500 records and is still stuck in "Running" status, or if the issue persists after splitting into smaller batches, contact Dazos Support for further investigation.
⚠️ Note: If an import remains stuck and you need to cancel it before starting fresh, contact Dazos Support and a team member can assist.
