Every icon in the CRM now comes from one consistent icon set called Lucide: thin, rounded outline glyphs that look the same on every page, in light and dark mode, and on any screen size. Nothing moved and nothing was renamed. The buttons, menus and shortcuts you use every day are exactly where they were; only the pictures on them changed.

1. Before You Start
You will need: nothing new. The change is applied for everyone at deployment.
Access requirements: none. All users see the new icons. The Module Builder and Smart Replies sections below apply to administrators only.
If a page still shows the old icons after the release, reload it once with a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows, Cmd + Shift + R on Mac). Your browser may be holding an old copy of the page styles.
2. What Looks Different
The top bar, the left menu, list views, record pages and every settings screen use the new glyphs.
Area | What you will notice |
Top bar | Search, notifications, quick create, calendar, reports, full screen and help use outline glyphs of the same size. |
Left menu | Each module has one dedicated icon; the same icon is used for that module everywhere else in the CRM. |
List views | Quick view (magnifier), star, and the ⋮ row menu; sort arrows next to column names; the filter row buttons. |
Record pages | The small pencil next to a field value (inline edit) and the tools on related lists are drawn smaller than before, at the size of the text. |
Date and time pickers | Arrows, clock and calendar glyphs inside the pickers use the same set. |
Buttons with text | Icon and label sit on one line, as before. |
Tip: A few places show an icon that was invisible before this release, for example the plus sign on some "Add" buttons and the calendar and clock glyphs on follow-up date fields. Those icons were always meant to be there; they simply did not render in the old set.
3. Reading the New Icons
The meaning of each control is unchanged. This table lists the glyphs you will meet most often.
Glyph | Meaning |
Pencil | Edit this field or record |
Magnifier with plus | Quick view of a record |
Star | Mark or unmark a record as starred; filled and coloured when starred |
Three dots (⋮) | More actions for this row |
Trash can | Delete |
Chevron up / down | Sorted ascending / descending, or expand / collapse a section |
Two chevrons | Column can be sorted (not sorted right now) |
Funnel | Filter |
Eraser | Clear filters |
Bookmark | Save the current list as a view |
Columns | Choose the columns of a list |
Pin / pin with slash | Shortcut pinned / not pinned (settings menu) |
Hovering over any icon-only button shows its name as a tooltip. Screen readers announce the same name.
4. Module Builder: Choosing a Sidebar Icon
Administrators who create custom modules pick the module's left-menu icon from the new set.
1. Go to Settings → Module Builder → Create Module.
2. In step 1, find the Sidebar Icon grid.
3. Click an icon, or move to it with the Tab key and press Enter or Space. The Selected preview and the icon name update immediately.
4. Continue with the module setup and save. The chosen icon appears next to the module name in the left menu.
Important: Custom modules created before this release keep an icon automatically. Their old icon name is mapped to the closest glyph in the new set. To choose a different one, edit the module and pick again.
5. Smart Replies: Severity Icons
The severity icon list in Settings → Verify → Smart Replies uses the new glyphs, and the preview shows the icon exactly as it will appear in the notification.
Replies saved before the release keep working: their stored icon is translated to the new set when the page loads and when you save.
6. Settings Menu: Pinning Shortcuts
Open any settings page and click the blue menu button on the right edge to open the settings menu. Each entry shows a small pin at its right edge.
Pin state | Meaning | Action |
Grey pin with a slash | Not pinned | Click to add the entry to your Settings home shortcuts |
Blue pin | Pinned | Click to remove it from the shortcuts |
7. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Did any button or menu change place? No. Positions, labels, tooltips and actions are unchanged. Only the drawing of the icon changed.
Q: An icon looks like an empty square. What should I do? Reload the page with a hard refresh. If it stays blank, note the page and the button and contact support; the page can be checked in seconds.
Q: Why is the edit pencil smaller than before? The pencil now follows the size of the text next to it, which is the size the design system specifies for secondary actions. It is still clickable in the same place.
Q: Do the new icons work in dark mode? Yes. Icons take the colour of the text around them, so they follow light and dark mode automatically.
Q: Is the customer portal affected? No. The customer-facing portal keeps its current icons in this release.
Need Help?
If you run into issues:
1. Hard-refresh the page once (Ctrl + Shift + R or Cmd + Shift + R).
2. Check whether the same button works on another page of the same kind, for example another record of the same module.
3. Contact Dazos support with the page name, the button you clicked and a screenshot, and reference CRM-3746.
