Overview
When building workflow conditions in iCampaign, the Current Patient Stage field presents a list of selectable values. A common question is where these values come from — and how to add a missing stage like Admitted if it exists in the CRM but does not appear as an option in the workflow condition.
This article explains the correct source of these values and where to manage them.
Key Concepts
Current Patient Stage values are sourced from the CRM, not iCampaign: The available values for this field come from a field in the Historical Data tab in the Accounts module in the Dazos CRM — not from picklist values configured inside iCampaign's subscriber custom fields.
Custom stages are supported: The Historical Data tab field has settings that accommodate custom patient stages, meaning non-standard stages can be configured there.
iCampaign reflects what is configured in the CRM: If a stage value like Admitted is missing from the iCampaign workflow condition options, the place to investigate and resolve this is the Historical Data tab in the Accounts module in the CRM — not inside iCampaign itself.
How It Works
The Current Patient Stage field in iCampaign workflow conditions is populated based on the stage values configured in the Historical Data tab of the Accounts module in your Dazos CRM. This tab includes settings that allow for custom patient stages to be defined.
When a stage value exists in the CRM's Historical Data tab configuration, it becomes available as a selectable option when building iCampaign workflow conditions for Current Patient Stage.
If a stage value — such as Admitted — is present in your CRM data but does not appear in the iCampaign workflow condition dropdown, the missing value needs to be addressed at the CRM level, within the Historical Data tab settings in the Accounts module.
Important Notes
Do not attempt to add missing stage values directly inside iCampaign (for example, via Subscribers → Manage Fields). The Current Patient Stage values for workflow conditions are not managed from within iCampaign — they originate from the CRM's Historical Data tab in the Accounts module.
If you are unsure how to add or configure a custom stage in the Historical Data tab settings, or if a stage value is still missing after reviewing those settings, contact Dazos Support for assistance.
