How to View Inbound SMS Replies from CTM on a Patient Record in Dazos (CRM)

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • The CTM integration configured and active in your Dazos instance

  • An outbound SMS sent from the patient or account record using CTM

  • Access to the patient or account record in Dazos CRM

Steps

  1. Open the patient or account record. Navigate to the record you sent the SMS from (for example, a patient record such as John Test-10).

  2. Click the Communication tab in the top action ribbon. This tab is represented by an email icon in the ribbon of action buttons near the top of the record.

  3. Scroll down to the Text Messages section. Within the Communication tab panel, scroll to the bottom until you see the section labeled Text Messages.

  4. Click Show Conversations. This button opens the full SMS thread, showing all sent and received messages. From this view, you can also send new messages directly.

Result

After completing these steps, you will see the complete SMS conversation thread for that record, including any inbound replies received from the patient. Both outbound and inbound messages are displayed in the conversation view.

Important Notes

SMS replies do sync back into Dazos from CTM. If you sent a text from a patient record and the recipient replied, that reply will appear in the conversation view described above — even if it is not immediately obvious where to find it.

There are currently no notifications for inbound SMS replies. At this time, Dazos does not automatically alert you when a new reply arrives. You will need to manually open the Text Messages conversation view on the record to check for new responses. This notification capability is on the product roadmap.

💡 Tip: Make it a habit to check the Text Messages section on a record after sending an SMS, especially if you are expecting a reply from a patient or contact. Since there is no automatic alert, proactive checking ensures you do not miss incoming responses.
