1. Switching Between the New and Classic Record Page

The record page (the page you see when you open a contact, an intake opportunity or any other record) has a new design. If you prefer the previous page for now, you can switch back to it at any time and return to the new one whenever you like. Your choice is saved on your user, so it applies to every record you open.

Switch to the Classic Page

1. Open any record.

2. Click the ⋯ button at the top right of the screen.

3. Choose Switch to classic view (the first row, marked NEW).

The More menu with Switch to classic view

The page reloads in the classic layout. It stays that way on every record until you switch back.

Return to the New Page

On the classic page a yellow banner at the top says you are using the classic view. Click Try the new view in that banner. The page reloads in the new layout.

Tip: the same choice is the Use Classic Record View checkbox in My Preferences.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does switching change anything for my colleagues? No. The choice is saved per user.

Q: Do I lose any feature on either page? No. Both pages offer the same actions and information; only the layout differs.

Q: Does the PDF export change with my choice? Yes. On the new page the exported PDF uses the new look; on the classic page it looks as before.

2. The New Record Header

The top of every record page is reorganised. The record's actions, tags and screen flows sit in one header card; Summary, Details, Updates and the related records share one bar; and header fields are shown as labelled tiles. On a phone, the page's main buttons move into a Record options sheet.

Summary, Details, Updates and Related Records

The tab bar with related record icons

1. Click Summary, Details or Updates to change what the page shows below the bar.

2. Each icon after them opens a related list (activities, documents, comments, payments ...). The small number on an icon is how many records it holds; icons with no records are dimmed.

3. Hover an icon to see its name. A grouped icon shows the modules inside it with their counts; click one to open it.

Tooltip of a grouped icon

1. When there are more icons than fit, the last button +N lists the rest. The number always matches the list it opens.

Header Fields

Fields marked as header fields in Module Layouts & Fields are shown as tiles with their name and value at the top of the record. Click the pencil on a tile to edit the value, exactly as before.

The Breadcrumb

The path at the top (CRM › Module › List › Record) now shortens long names with "…" instead of running under the buttons. Hover the record name to see it in full.

The breadcrumb, with the record's name at its end, stays at the top of the page. The buttons at the top right (for example Add Opportunity, Import and Customize) are under the ⋯ next to it. Tap it to open Record options; tap an option, the ×, or outside the sheet to close it.

On a phone the tab bar scrolls sideways, so the related record icons start off screen. While there is more to see, a round arrow sits at the edge of the bar: tap it, or swipe the bar, to bring the rest into view.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where did the old tabs and pills go? They are the buttons and icons of the new tab bar; every one of them is still there.

Q: The numbers on the icons look wrong after I add a record. They update when the related list reloads; reload the page if a count looks stale.

3. Record Actions on the New Record Page

The record actions moved from the right column into the record header. The everyday actions are one group of buttons; every other action is in one menu; and all signature forms are in one dropdown instead of a button each.

On a Phone

Edit, Call, Email, SMS and Actions are large tiles that always fill one row, whichever of them the record type has; Signatures and Follow sit side by side on the row below. Actions and Signatures open as sheets from the bottom of the screen, and the page behind them is dimmed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: An action I used before is missing. Open the ⋯ menu; every action that was in the old actions card is there. If it is not, the action may depend on a permission or an integration that is not active for you.

Q: On a consent form or a treatment episode, where are the actions? In the header too, like every other record. The old actions card in the right column is only on the classic page.

Q: Did anything an action does change? No. Only where the buttons are shown changed.

4. The Right Column: Cards, Comments and Activities

The right column of the record page is now a stack of separate cards. Each card has one title with the number of records it holds, and opens or closes on its own. Comments and Activities get a clearer layout.

Cards

The right column

Click a card's title row to collapse or expand it.

The number in brackets next to the title is how many records the card holds (the same number as the matching icon in the tab bar).

When a record type has nothing to show in the right column, the column is left out and the main content uses the full width of the page.

Comments

The Comments card

1. Type your comment in the box.

2. Click Attach Files to add a file (the ⓘ shows the size limit).

3. Click Post to save it. Cancel appears once you have typed something or attached a file; click it to clear the box.

4. Under Recent Comments, choose Newest First or Oldest First to change the order, and switch Roll up on to include comments from related records.

The same layout is used on the record's Comments tab.

Activities

The Activities card

1. Add Task and Add Event create a new activity for the record. Page 16 of 27

2. Upcoming and History switch between open and completed activities; Roll up includes activities of related records.

3. Each row shows the subject, its date and its status. Click the pencil next to the status to change it.

Related Lists

On a related list (for example the Activities tab), the add buttons are now outlined buttons next to the record count, and the Roll up toggle is the same switch as in the cards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I keep a card closed? Yes. Collapse it; open it again with its title row.

Q: Does the Roll up switch change data? No. It only changes which records are listed.

5. Details and Summary on the New Record Page

The Details and Summary views have a new look. Every field shows its name above its value, fields are arranged exactly as set in Module Layouts & Fields (half, normal or full width), and the Tabbed View lists the sections on the left. On small screens, you can hide that list.

Details

Each field shows its name in small grey capitals with the value below it. Click the pencil to edit a value.

Fields follow the column length set in Module Layouts & Fields: two half fields and one normal field share a row, four half fields share a row, and a full-width field has a row of its own. The last field of a row that is not full stretches to the end of the row.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: A field is in a different place than before. Fields now follow the widths set in Module Layouts & Fields, so a row can hold more half-width fields than before. The order of the fields is unchanged.

Q: How do I make a field take the whole row? In Module Layouts & Fields, edit the field and set its column length to 2.

6. Module Tables on the New Record Page

Module tables (the tables your administrator sets up under Settings › Module Tables, shown inside a record's Details) now all look the same: a card with the table's name and row count, an add row button, and edit and delete icons on each row. The Documents card on Summary uses the same table style.

Using a Module Table

1. Open the record and go to Details.

2. Find the table's card. Its name and the number of rows are at the top.

3. Click the add button at the top right of the card to add a row.

4. Use the pencil icon on a row to edit it and the bin icon to delete it (you are asked to confirm).

Tables with many columns scroll sideways inside the card. The column picker works as before. A table with no rows says No records found.

The Documents Card on Summary

The Documents card

1. Open the record and go to Summary.

2. The Documents card lists the record's documents: the document name (click it to open the document), who uploaded it and the date.

3. Use the eye icon on a row to preview the file and the arrow to download it.

4. Click New Document at the top right to upload a file, link one or create a document, as before.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Did the table change in Edit, in the PDF or in the customer portal? No. Only the record page shows the new look.

Q: Can I choose which columns are shown? Yes, with the existing column picker, as before.

7. The Updates Tab

The Updates tab shows everything that changed on a record. It now has a cleaner timeline with an icon for each kind of change, and you can read it newest first or oldest first.

Reading the Timeline

The Updates tab

1. Open a record and click Updates in the tab bar.

2. Each entry shows who made the change, when, and what changed. The icon tells the kind of change: record created, field updated, related record linked or unlinked, EMR sync, or an NSOPW check.

Changing the Order

Click the sort button at the top of the list:

Shows

Newest first (default)

The latest change at the top.

Oldest first

The first change at the top.

More, centred under the list, loads further changes in the same order; they continue the same timeline.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the order stay when I come back? Each time you open the tab it starts newest first. Q: Can I filter by kind of change? Not yet; the list shows every change.

8. Exporting a Record to PDF

When you export a record to PDF from the new record page, the PDF now matches the page: the same font and sizes as Details, each field's name above its value, and fields arranged by the same half, normal and full widths as in Details. This applies to record PDFs and to the Pre Assessment PDF.

Export a Record

1. Open the record.

2. Click the ⋯ button at the right of the record actions.

3. Choose Export to PDF. On a computer the PDF opens in a new tab; on a phone or tablet it opens in the same tab.
