How to Mass Editing Records in Your Dazos Health CRM

This guide outlines the steps to perform a mass edit, allowing you to update multiple records simultaneously for enhanced productivity. For the purpose of this demonstration, we will be using the Dazos Training instance.

Updated over 3 months ago

Before You Begin

  • Ensure you have the necessary permissions to edit records in bulk.

  • Apply any necessary Filters or List Views first to narrow down the specific records you intend to modify.

1. Begin by logging into your specific company instance: Access the Dazos Health Dashboard (e.g., Dazos Training) using your standard credentials to reach the main interface.

2. Locate and click the top checkbox: To begin selecting records, click the checkbox at the head of the record list; this action automatically selects every record visible on your current screen.

3. Expand Your Selection (Optional):

  • Expand Your Selection: If you need to edit more than just the visible page, click the "Select all [Record Type]" prompt (e.g., "Select all Accounts") to include every record matching your current filter.

  • If this option is not chosen, your mass edit will only apply to the records currently displayed on the page.

4. Click on the yellow pencil icon: Once your selection is finalized, click the yellow pencil icon in the toolbar; this specific icon triggers the "Mass Edit" function for all highlighted items.

5. Update the specific field(s) in the pop-up: Use the editing interface that appears to select the field you wish to change and input the new value that will be applied across the entire group.

6. Click "Save" to apply the mass edits: Confirm your changes by clicking the save button, which initiates the automated process of updating every selected record simultaneously.

Verification / Expected Result

A confirmation message will typically appear indicating the number of records successfully updated. You can verify the change by refreshing your list view and checking the modified column for the new values.

Troubleshooting / Common Errors

  • Mass Edit Icon Missing: If you do not see the yellow pencil icon, you may not have "Mass Edit" permissions enabled for your user role.

  • Partial Updates: If some records didn't update, ensure you clicked "Select all [Record Type]" instead of just selecting the records on the first page.

  • Read-Only Fields: Certain system-generated fields (like "Date Created") cannot be mass edited.
